This is probably my biggest frustration with Arsenal. That defensive core should win the title every season. There’s nothing better than this in world football. But we make it a dog fight every season because our attack can’t create separation to help us win enough games easily

Our attacking recruitment (both actual signings + lack of signings) has been embarrassing. It’s a disgrace that we got within inches of our best season in club history + didn’t move heaven + earth to build on it. Elite defence but mid attack. And they thought that was acceptable?

Football is in a weird place when Dowman's reaction to that tackle is deemed a more violent/punishable offence than the tackle itself. Two yellow cards would have been fine. Arteta's response was as disproportionate as the referee's decision to show red.

I’m so shocked that him & Gyok have stans, it perplexes me. There’s no way man that watched Thierry Henry, Bergkamp etc would be doing dissertations praising either. They’re both far from the level we should be aspiring too & it’s a sad indictment of our offensive recruitment
