Elon lied to America. It was wrong.
After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.”
“It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw: Russia will demand territory it hasn't even conquered yet because, frankly, they suck.
They'll want Ukraine to have zero security guarantees so they can invade again.
Then we'll be dealing with this war again in 10 years.

Ukraine today is Britain in 1940, standing alone against aggression while others debate. The U.S. and Europe have a moral and practical obligation to stand with them. I joined @JessicaDean on @CNN.

McConnell in WSJ on Trump’s relationship with Putin & the upcoming “lame-duck” session of Congress: “Mr. Trump has high hopes for a lame-duck legislative agenda, including the one-time defense spending I’ve urged the administration instead to build into full-year appropriations. Passing this agenda will require working with Republicans who know the difference between the good guys and the bad guys. Ending the obeisance to Mr. Putin may be table stakes for the end-of-year legislation. The president should plan accordingly.” wsj.com/opinion/coddling-put…

The past two weeks have seen the Trump administration essentially turn on Ukraine. This is a shameful, perfidious decision that harms American interests. Here's why it matters, and why, in the grand scheme of things, it might not.

My favorite President, Abe Lincoln, would have 100% opposed Russia trying to enslave Ukraine. All men are created equal…
Terrible choice. I have Hungarian roots too.
New: Sources from three countries confirm that the Trump Administration has advocated Viktor Orbán for UN Secretary-General.
The US has encouraged Orbán to enter the race, even bringing him the initial idea of a joint U.S.-Russia-China candidacy.

But most important, the U.S. and allies must stop the Russian ballistic missiles that are relentlessly killing Ukrainian civilians and wrecking energy facilities and critical infrastructure. Putin’s strategic goal is simple and predictable: break the will of the Ukrainian people before winter. Ballistic missiles are the one thing that only Patriot interceptors can stop. Drones can’t defend against them.

No amount of spin or number of tweets is going to change the fact that Elon has damaged the Starlink brand by simply lying about his activities.
Initially Elon denied slowing down the Starlink data rates and said only the Pentagon had that authority. We don’t like being lied to.
