📢The highly diverse antiphage defence systems of bacteria
Georjon & Bernheim provide an overview of the molecular diversity of the most recently discovered bacterial antiphage defence systems and discuss their evolution and the ecological impact of their diversity.
Congrats to @jrafner on the CircleU award to 'Crea.visions' project - facilitating large-scale public participation in civic action through the use of an AI-assisted image generation tool. Within Circle U, project collaborators include @DuleFR (UPC-LPI) & @tomm_bg (U Belgrade)
...and the winners are...

Grateful to get to experience times like this one. That feeling of belonging to a collective of amazing people that get to work together to create new stuff (in science and cooking!). I still pinch myself. The sun, wine, fresh air and awesome speakers make it even stronger 🙃.
Sun, science, wine and "Les dentelles de Montmirail" 🌞🧬🍷⛰️. Lucky to discover this beautiful part of south of France during our lab retreat, get inspired by fantastic speakers @morehouse_ben @LianetN @vincentflora @shsternberg, brainstorm and cook. Happiness levels +++.

Check out our latest preprint!
In our last @arxiv preprint, we studied mobility patterns in the knowledge landscape made of... @arxiv preprints!
We show that scientific trajectories of researchers in a low-dimensional embedding of 1.5M arxiv papers closely resemble physical mobility.

Did a quick lab people count, and this morning we have 11 nationalities in the room! Together with a talk on antimicrobial peptide discovery by @pandi_amir, great way to start the day!

Soon submitting a long-overdue collaboratively written paper with 20+ co-authors. Just sent the final-final-draft to check/approve, but several co-authors are on ~6-month academic leave, and one on a maternity leave. How do you handle this? #AcademicTwitter #GetYourManuscriptOut
