It's been quiet here since April. The work didn't stop, the posting did. A slow market is a slow market. We kept building anyway, just without much to announce each week. Most of that time has gone into SmartStarter, and mostly into one question: what should happen after a campaign succeeds. Today the money moves once and the backer's part is over. We don't think that's the whole design. SmartStarter itself is unchanged and still on preprod. All-or-nothing, no admin keys. Meet the goal and the creator collects, miss it and every backer gets refunded. What comes next is the usability side of that, and the work to take it to mainnet properly. We're resuming updates. The building carries on the way it always has - slow but steady.

Happy to share that we picked up another hackathon win. Thanks to @Oraclecharli3 and @Cardano_CF for putting together a great event. Looking forward to pitching in front of @DraperDragon - taking our RealFi work further, with parametric settlement as a core piece. #Cardano
Congratulations to the Hackathon winners! Grand Prize Winner - 20,000 ADA "Quantix" by solo entry @maxalexweber QUANTIX is a B2B delivery settlement app for raw materials. Unlike regular RWA use cases, here it just tokenizes the needed facts about goods inventory, price, timestamp, signer set, and not the goods themselves. Conventional B2B delivery settlement runs on PDFs, EDI patchwork, and post-hoc reconciliation: ERP says one thing, the warehouse another, the price sheet is a day old, and disputes are settled by whoever has the better paperwork. QUANTIX replaces that with a single atomic Cardano transaction. Github Repo: github.com/maxalexweber1/QUA… Demo Video: youtube.com/watch?v=g3_FExeF… Best DeFi & Integrations - 5,000 ADA "Charli3 Perp" by team @AscendPerps - Charli3 Perp is a minimal implementation of perpetual trading using Charli3 oracle data. It connects verified on-chain ADA/USD price feed to pipeline executed with Midnight for orders, matching, and settlement. Best Real World Settlement - 5,000 ADA "AEGIS Parametric Insurance" by team @fluxpointstudio - Aegis is automated crypto insurance that pays out instantly when oracle-verified price conditions are met -- no claims process, no adjusters, no waiting. The oracle IS the claims adjuster. Best Oracle Tooling - 5,000 ADA "Charli3-js" by team @SyncAI_Network - Typescript charli3 SDK - Agent Integration pathway Community Choice Award - 5,000 ADA "Parametrix by team @lambdac_labs - Parametric risk settlement on Cardano (hedge against real world risks like rainfall or measurable events) Thank you very much to our sponsors for making this hackathon a reality: @Cardano_CF @Catalyst_onX @DraperDragon Big shout out to the @Oraclecharli3 team who volunteered their time to host the hackathon! And lastly, thank you for the incredible support from the community to make this event a success!

#6 Parametrix — Team Lambdac Parametrix is an oracle-native protocol for parametric risk settlement on Cardano. It enables users to hedge real-world risks‚ such as rainfall or other measurable events ‚ through deterministic smart contract execution. A hedger creates a pool and locks a premium, while liquidity providers subscribe by underwriting the risk. At settlement, the outcome is resolved using oracle data, and funds are distributed automatically based on predefined conditions. The system is built as a full-stack implementation combining Aiken smart contracts, a MeshJS-based off-chain layer, a FastAPI oracle updater, and a Next.js frontend. The oracle is central to execution, not an add-on. Settlement depends entirely on validated external data, removing the need for claims, intermediaries, or manual verification. Parametrix demonstrates a complete lifecycle ‚ create, subscribe, oracle update, and settle ‚ executed end-to-end on-chain. It introduces a new class of financial primitives on Cardano by enabling programmable, event-driven payouts. This model has clear applications in agriculture, travel, and climate risk, and can evolve into scalable, liquidity-driven risk markets powered by oracle-based real-world settlement. 🎥 youtu.be/L75BTf7UHl4🔗 Code: github.com/lambdacc/parametr… ❤️ LIKE to vote #C3Hackathon #Cardano

Building for the Charli3 Hackathon was an exciting journey. We prototyped: Hedge real-world risk ↔ On-chain settlement If you like the idea, drop a like and support us. #C3Hackathon #Cardano

Public blockchains = everything is transparent Privacy chains = everything is hidden Both are extremes, and both have problems. So what’s the middle ground? Midnight. 🧵 @midnightntwrk

Why this matters: Real-world adoption needs both: • Privacy (for users & businesses) • Compliance (for regulators) Most blockchains force a trade-off. Midnight doesn’t.

This is what makes Midnight different: A system where privacy + compliance can coexist That’s the kind of blockchain real economies can actually use. Midnight mainnet is live — you can start interacting today. 🚀 @MidnightNtwrk

Situation: You (customer): have Ada (or any native assets) Merchant: Accepts Bitcoin lightning as payment solution, knows nothing about Cardano or ADA. You're buying something, merchant shows you a lightning invoice as a QR code, you scan it with your phone and pay with ADA. The merchant receives BTC. Everyone's happy.

Midnight City shows how crypto can offer privacy while still allowing compliance when needed. Quick clip switching between public and auditor views - one encrypted, one not. I liked how clearly it shows the difference visually. Midnight City

Midnight 🤝 Monument Bank Monument is set to become the first UK-regulated bank to tokenize retail customer deposits on a public blockchain — representing interest-bearing savings as digital tokens while remaining fully backed, redeemable in GBP, and protected under existing regulatory frameworks. Built on Midnight’s privacy-enhancing blockchain infrastructure, this approach ensures that transaction data remains shielded and accessible only to authorized participants — enabling the use of blockchain technology while maintaining the confidentiality and compliance required in regulated financial services. The initiative begins with a target of £250 million in tokenized deposits and represents the first phase in a broader rollout to expand access to tokenized financial products. Over time, this includes enabling exposure to asset classes such as private equity and structured products, and introducing more flexible lending models — capabilities historically reserved for institutional and private banking clients. Together, this partnership demonstrates how regulated financial institutions can bring traditional financial products on-chain — unlocking a more flexible, accessible, and programmable financial system without compromising privacy or regulatory standards.
