My thesis about "Digital Scholarly Editions Beyond Text" has now been published as an OA monograph: doi.org/10.11588/arthistoric….
It covers multi-transmitted picture / film works from medieval to modern times, modelling theory, #digitalhumanities as such and a bunch of other stuff.

This will be my last post on here but I wanted to share that announcement even though the whole community has already scattered. Finally I'll have time to read books by others again :)

Friends: Johanna Green (@Codicologist) died this morning—1 day shy of her 40th birthday, after several grueling years of stage-4 colon cancer
There are beautiful tributes being written and circulated. I don’t have my own words yet, so today I’m borrowing Edna St Vincent Millay’s
They said there'd be no air conditioning... so I brought my own 🤭 #DH2023
From one conference to the next. On one side vineyards, on the other the sparkling Rhine, Deutsche Bahn is running late, let's see if I can reach #DH2023 on time.
Fancy meeting @naudgnit on the train! (Which is now packed since other trains were cancelled altogether.) The DH world is a small one.

Great first day at #IMC2023 with some fantastic DH papers by Michael Schonhardt (@ ?), @JWTorg, @SilkeSchwandt, @TorstenHiltmann, @DowsMillerSeb, @CroenenGodfried & others. Think I missed a paper by @Calthalas which I thought was tomorrow? Where's the multiverse when you need it!
I need humanists who have no idea about anything that's been going on in the digital humanities in the last decades (!) to stop talking about "the dangers" of "the internet" ASAP. Please, for the love of-
Konrad Zuse mention during the keynote... let's remember he worked for the Nazis 😵💫#IMC2023
Just got the new album by the amazing @Dota_Kehr w/ the poetry of Mascha Kaléko. Naturally I belong to the 50% of vinyl buyers who don't own a player (yet!) lol But hey there's a songbook so I know what I'll be doing post-conferencing. (Also, it streams on Fr, can't wait 😭🙏)

I'll be in Leeds next week for the #IMC2023 and discuss public digital humanities with some great people. Drop by if you're there. Also, there'll be a reception afterwards 🥂 (And it's probably going to be my only Leeds attendance, like, ever, so by all means say hi.)
