🏕️ Great to visit the Billericay & Wickford Explorer Scouts at 5th Billericay Scout Hall!
Fantastic to meet the young people, hear about their Scouting adventures and learn about their plans for the World Scout Jamboree 2027 in Poland 🇵🇱
Good luck with the fundraising! 👏🏕️
The most brutal thing that can be said is the truth

Andy Burnham’s government talks up change, but then does nothing. Britain’s budget epitomised the inadequacy of his approach to government bit.ly/4icsFAi

“I don’t care if he’s the Chair of the Defence Select Committee”
A churlish and ill-tempered outing from Wes Streeting at the Despatch Box as he undermines Tan Dhesi and the Labour-chaired Defence Select Committee that holds the Defence Secretary to account.
This is entirely the wrong tone to adopt.

✈️ @UKLabour are tying themselves in knots over Heathrow
❌ @AndyBurnham says ‘a decision for London’
❌ @Mather_Keir say ‘wait for the Transport Select Committee’
✅ @Heidi_Labour doubles down - National Heathrow Policy Statement stands and expansion of Heathrow is ‘such a nationally significant project’
🥀 @UKLabour can’t even agree amongst themselves on one of Britain’s biggest infrastructure projects
🇬🇧 Britain needs decisions, not more Labour dithering, division and delay!

Uh oh… after John Healey clearly promised on @BBCr4today that the benefits bill will be cut before the next election, @ChrisMasonBBC tells listeners the Treasury have since been on the phone disputing he said this and that he wasn’t putting a timeline on welfare reductions.

Labour utterly hopeless on welfare reform. Now appear to be saying they will NOT be reducing welfare bill before the next election after Chancellor said exactly the opposite on air this morning. Shambles. teapawt.org/jackelsom/status/21157…

It is, in the words of Nigel’s hero “fake news”
Your prayer card is there to guarantee you a place at prayers, if you turn up - or are on a parliamentary committee so have an official reason to be elsewhere - you’ve got a seat for the day
If you don’t turn up, it’s removed. Been the case for over a century I believe. MPs who aren’t religious or of other faiths just turn up and just sit silently for the couple of minutes prayers
Farage, as ever, thinks he should have special rules for him. He doesn’t get special rules and he shouldn’t get special rules.
With @Nigel_Farage there’s always someone else to blame. But it’s always him.
Nigel Farage was unable to attend the Budget in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed, The Telegraph understands.
The Reform UK leader’s prayer card — a green slip of paper that backbench MPs put on a spot on the green benches to reserve their seat — was moved after it was placed this morning.

Farage's prayer card lacked a valid date stamp and was removed per House of Commons protocol. MPs confirm seats were available unreserved and he did not attend prayers to secure one.

I was in the Chamber from 11am.
Nigel didn't come in for Prayers at the start of the day, so he wouldn't have had a valid prayer card.
