The most common feedback we've gotten for @NaytiveHQ is
"i feel like this was built just for me" 🤌

after 3+ years as a digital nomad i’m probably the exact person @NaytiveHQ was built for
visas
taxes
banking
company setup
compliance
basically all the annoying admin that comes with living and working across countries
naytive helps founders handle that side of things without having to figure it all out alone
kinda fitting they took 2 spots on a suitcase crossing borders to singapore
If you’re building agentic systems for high-stakes consumer workflows, here’s a simple finding that has enormous payoffs (based on speaking to 100+ users):
- The more consequential the action, the more trust the product has to earn.
- That means a lot of the real work is trust building on the ground, then reflecting that trust in the product itself.
- Sometimes emphasising autonomy can make the product feel less trustworthy, not more advanced.
- But it doesn’t mean users want a human involved.
- They want confidence and confirmation that the system works.
There's an old UX principle for this called Nielsen's "visibility of system status.” The system should always keep users informed about what's going on, through appropriate feedback, within a reasonable time. It was written for buttons and loading spinners. But it applies just as much, maybe more, to agents, because the whole premise of an agent is that it's doing things for you, often out of view. The less visible the work, the more that principle matters
This means clear checkpoints matter:
- Being able to review something before it is submitted matters
- Knowing what the system is doing in the background matters
- Knowing upfront what happens when something goes wrong matters
- Simply feeling like there is a real, accountable company behind the product matters.
Imagine placing an Uber Eats order and, after checkout, the interface just said: Processing.
No confirmation that the restaurant accepted it. No estimated delivery time. No map. No indication that the driver picked it up. No way to see where things went wrong. The actual service could be working perfectly, but people would still feel anxious, and support requests would probably skyrocket.
Many high-stakes agentic products work like this today, but much of it can be solved in the interface.
- A status update.
- A checkpoint.
- A review screen.
- A clear explanation of what happens next.
- A visible escalation path.
Basically small UX decisions can dramatically change how much autonomy a user is willing to give a system. And platform trust compounds as users become comfortable delegating more autonomy.

We’re told there’s not enough money for health care, affordable housing or education.
But somehow there are billions for an illegal & unconstitutional war with Iran.
We need a government that works for all of us — not the military-industrial complex, not Israel, not super PACs.

So let me get this straight...
So far:
- Trump is 'surprised' by Iran's attacks on the Gulf
- Khamenei's replacement will likely be more radical
- Protesters so far have rallied in SUPPORT of the regime
- Hezbollah joined despite warnings not to
- Gulf countries are reportedly running low on air defense munitions (likely Israel too)
- Iran seems unwilling to accept a ceasefire
- The leader who had a fatwa AGAINST building a nuclear weapon was killed
- The Strait of Hormuz is being closed
- Global energy prices are spiking
and you wanna convince me this was a good idea?
I hate the regime, and they have blood on their hands after their brutal crackdown on protesters, but the solution is NOT regime change
I hope Trump changes his mind, for the sake of the Iranian people, the region, the Israelis, the Americans, and the world

AI is a phenomenal executor!
But it doesn’t replace human judgment, empathy, or any sort of conviction.
At DeFa, AI strengthens underwriting and risk assessment, while our team focuses on relationships and trust.

- tesla dropped the bomb they’re halting production on model s and x to scale 1M optimus humanoid robots this year instead
- china dropped the mother of all open source models kimi k2.5 that turn video into production-ready apps but then google dropped a gemini update ON THE SAME DAY that does the same thing gg
- google said fuck it and also launched the worlds greatest world model genie and switched on gemini for 3.8B chrome browser users AND released alpha genome model that one-shots 1M dna base pairs for 3000 researchers across 160 countries AND teased new veo model
- microsoft crushed earnings, launched a new ai chip but stock still tanked 10% because they *only* grew rev 39%
- anthropic round 2X oversubbed raised to 20B 🏌️
- openai raising another $100B, 750B val 🏌️
- intel leaked they’re gonna help produce nvidias next gen feynman gpus - hello americas tsmc
- a robot (built by figure) washed the dishes with zero human interaction
- apple acquired stealth startup for $2B that can lip read - integrating their tech for new ai consumer airpods with cameras and mics

fckin hell
Some notes to myself & observations from being down the consumer product/startup rabbit hole:
- Finance is no longer a product, it's a feature
- Switching costs are ridiculously low
- Consumer moat is now owning end-to-end workflows
- Workflows outside of finance are more valuable
- Distribution comes from solving non-financial pains
- Once you own users, selling finance products is easy
- (Everyone uses money, it's a lifestyle feature)
- Building startups for a singular case is dying
- Users can just vibe code your startup on the weekend
- The winners will make complexity feel simple
- The best startups are anchored in design + philosophy
- Tech is really cheap, creativity is really expensive
Overall, it seems like the dot com all over again. Lots of new startups are embedding new primitives. Capital is flowing to buzzwords, but ultimately the only thing that has proven successful are startups that win on trust & relationship with the consumer, not tech. Tech is just the plumbing for delivering something meaningful.
Finding the meaningful thing is the founder's real job
