On Friday, 10 October, Hatom encountered the heaviest stress test of its suite of products since going live.
With the entire crypto ecosystem seeing over $19 billion in liquidations, this was one of the worst black swan events ever witnessed.
We are proud to announce that our work over the years to build one of the most resilient products in DeFi has paid off.
Hatom operated without interruption throughout the event, liquidating approximately $800K in collateral and proving once again that our design is built to protect users.
During periods like this, when asset prices depreciate sharply in a short time, many users could be liquidated instantly if there were no mechanisms to counteract price manipulation.
In moments like these, price integrity is everything. This is where our Price Aggregator and Oracle design protects users.
How it works
Our Aggregator collects quotes from multiple reputable exchanges and publishes a median. In parallel, our Oracle reads the DEX Safe Price, a time-weighted average that smooths short spikes. On every update, the Oracle compares the Aggregator median with the DEX Safe Price.
If they are within tolerance, the new price is accepted. If they diverge beyond the first threshold, the Oracle returns the last valid price; if they exceed the final threshold, the Oracle is temporarily suspended and requires manual intervention to review and unpause.
During Friday’s cascade, this logic filtered out exchange wicks and isolated prints. Sudden one-venue drops did not force instant liquidations because the Safe Price and the Aggregator median disagreed beyond tolerance, so the system used the last valid price until markets realigned.
When the broader market moved in a sustained way, fresh submissions arrived and the Oracle advanced to a new fair price, allowing liquidations to proceed where they were truly warranted.
The result is simple. Legitimate market moves are honored, and short-lived manipulation attempts are ignored. Users are protected from unfair liquidations, liquidators have clear rules, and the protocol maintains orderly operations even under extreme stress.
We are glad to see many users protected during the crash by these mechanisms, and we are deeply saddened for those who were liquidated. Unfortunately, this is part of using leverage. Please remember that leverage is risky, and everyone using it should be aware of the consequences, especially the importance of using safe, liquid, and proven collateral.
Since Friday’s event was brutal, with many CEXs going down, we want to be transparent about outcomes on our side. During the peak volatility window, the protocol incurred approximately $3.6K in bad debt, while protocol revenue totaled over $36K from liquidations.
According to our analysis, this bad debt was caused solely by the sharpness of the decline in price, without being caused by liquidity shortages, unsafe collateral, hidden leverage, or inefficient liquidations in terms of both participation and economic profitability.
We want to assure you that no users will be penalized for this. The entire bad debt will be covered from protocol revenue.
We are aware that some competitors in the ecosystem, after Friday’s event, reportedly incurred roughly 5x more bad debt on 10x lower liquidity and chose to socialize that loss across suppliers. In practice, this means every user who supplied USDC directly or through vaults was penalized, regardless of whether they had an active borrow.
This is something we believe could be avoided through better protocol-design decisions and by ensuring that all code is audited and stress-tested prior to launch on Mainnet. But code is only one side of the coin; effective risk management is even more crucial.
We encourage every protocol to strengthen its design, find edge cases, and ensure they can handle unfortunate events like the most recent one.
User safety is paramount, and depositors should not bear losses caused by architectural weaknesses. The beauty of DeFi should be in the technology working for users, not against them.
This is why we believe it is important to use Hatom!

Betting on a creator coin today which fits this narrative perfectly.
With the recent partnership with @believeapp and @whop, what better creator to bet on than a former @whop employee.
$350k at the moment..

There's 1000s of paths. Of course there's the crypto path, and writing some software path that can get you there quickly and without any training but there's also more "normal" paths people don't glorify any more.
Generically I would break down the process as follows:
Get your employable skills up as fast as possible, probably via certificates and/or apprenticeships.
Can find yourself in a 6 fig job within 6mo via this path. I went to college for computer engineering for 4 years but given I passed my certs like CISSP with two hours of studying the day of the exam, and that cert alone can get a $100k+ salary, I wish I had just skipped college, got some certs, and dove right into the workforce. Not tech inclined? Blue collar apprenticeships can get you into good pay quickly as well.
Alternatively you can dive right into some zero/minimal cost self-owned service job. Grab a brush and start painting houses. Get a lawn mower and start doing yard work. Warren Buffet started his career delivering newspapers.
I love the story of a Harvard business class where the professor gave teams $5 each and gave them the goal of making the most profitable business with it. The team that won didn't use the $5 at all, it was a red herring, they just stood in line for people and charged for it, zero cost service business.
Your goal early on is just to get your earning potential up as fast as possible since you're trying to build capital for the real money maker that comes later and we're not skipping all these steps by raising money. If you were open to raising money, it gets a lot faster. "Hey wealthy person X, you want to fund me to operate business Y for you and we co-own it?" Done. The hurdle is just networking and convincing someone to trust you in that case.
Once your earning potential is up high enough that you can store away $50k+ a year or whatever, you're now in a nice place to start compounding that capital into businesses. Here's where the paths open up a lot and the choice is yours, can start compounding year one on small businesses or save up for a few years and open a fast food franchise or something. Just google or ask AI for "businesses I can start with less than X dollars" at whatever point you're at where you want to start compounding. There's lots of "standard" paths for this: laundromat, parking lot, car wash, etc.
I was at a car event recently talking with a Pista owner who was showing me his other 2-3 Ferraris on his phone along with a spattering of other exotics worth a total of somewhere around $3M parked in front of his house that I'd guess was another $3M and what does he do? He owns two McDonalds, that's it. That's what I mean by "standard" paths. You don't have to create some unicorn tech company, you can just open a franchise or some normal shit like that where the business plan is already laid out for you. Don't even have to start that business yourself, there's tons of people selling existing businesses because they're retiring, don't want to deal with it anymore, or simply just didn't have the resolve to see it through and/or were mismanaging it.
Another question to ask yourself along the way is how much you want to speed things up with debt, can really leverage your growth, opening one business then using the revenue from that to get more money to open more, etc. Trade off there is of course the more leverage in the system that's built on your revenue expectations, the less you'll be able to sustain a downturn in revenue, gotta keep that flywheel spinning the right direction or it blows up.
So yeah, TLDR is:
-Get your earning potential up asap via certs, education, training, take on side jobs, start a minimal cost service business, etc.
-Compound that capital at key points along the way into small businesses that now return you more than you put in.
-Repeat, scaling up at each compound level, perhaps leveraging a responsible amount of debt to accelerate.
Alternatively just skip all this and convince someone with capital to invest in you or click the correct series of green and red buttons in crypto.

Today, we share heartfelt news as we bid farewell to @robolteanu_, who has been an invaluable part of the Hatom family for over three years.
From our earliest days, Robert played a pivotal role in launching Hatom and has been integral to every significant milestone we've achieved. He was instrumental not only in shaping the strategic direction of the company but also in nurturing the incredible team that stands behind Hatom today. His dedication, strategic insight, and passion have left a lasting impact that continues to drive us.
Robert has decided to step back from his active role in Web3 and DeFi, exploring new paths and regenerating himself. While we'll greatly miss his daily contributions and presence, we fully support him in this new chapter.
Robert, your influence on our culture, team, and achievements will always be celebrated. Should you ever decide to return to the Web3 and DeFi space, know that you will always have a home at Hatom.
We wish you the very best in your next adventure and remain profoundly grateful for everything you've done for Hatom and its community.
🤍 from the Hatom team.
I think it’s important to make one thing very clear moving forward:
My long journey with @HatomProtocol and @0xSoulProtocol has come to an end, as I’m looking to take another path in my life.
It was a great experience, and I deeply believe in the success of both projects. I shared many eye-opening moments with the entire team at @Syfy_io.
I wish everyone there the best of luck. It was a great honour to work with the chads there, who are incredibly smart and hungry to leave a mark in DeFi!🦾
I didn’t want to make an official post necessarily, but it seems important in order to regain my freedom of speech and ensure I’m not associated with the company when I share my thoughts and to make anyone believe that these are the views of the company.
Everything I post moving forward is my own personal view on certain matters and should be treated as such, with no association with Hatom or Soul!

Soul Protocol is Building the Identity Layer of Autonomous AI Agents
In a future run by AI agents, one thing becomes clear; You can’t automate without identity. @0xSoulProtocol isn’t just another DID system, it’s the foundation for trust between agents. Whether it’s bots trading onchain, AI managing treasuries, or wallets acting on behalf of users.
Soul gives them a verifiable, persistent identity that can’t be faked.
Not your keys, not your coin.
Not your soul, not your agent.
The world is shifting to autonomous everything, but without identity, it’s chaos.
That’s where Soul shines:
✅ Soul-bound identifiers
✅ Reputation that accrues across chains & apps
✅ Permissionless registration and agent linking
✅ Identity with memory, context, and accountability
No Soul = No Self.
No Self = No Sovereignty.
That’s why Soul isn’t optional.
It’s the base layer for agentic coordination, onchain automation, and autonomous AI.
Soul isn’t just for humans. It’s for the next evolution of agents.
And the best part?
It’s already happening.
Did MVX try so hard to convert ETH and SOL users to their ecosystem only to end up as the best marketing vehicle for SUI? 😆

With the Public Sale reaching the $2M raised milestone and 3 days to go for it to end.
I'm glad to see community growing interest in new innovative DeFi protocols like Soul.
The crypto space is (finally!) entering a new phase where speculation is no longer enough to drive token valuations.
A new phase where new projects and their tokens emerge not for hype, but for their intrinsic value and real-world utility.
• The speculative excitement of early phases has worn thin
• The market is beginning to demand more than empty hype or recycled protocol designs
• Real utility and innovation is becoming the defining characteristic of new emerging projects
At Soul, we are fully aligned with this shift.
➡️The Change
We're building a new DeFi primitive that doesn't just iterate on what's been done before, but creates something fundamentally new.
Soul introduces a new DeFi infrastructure, backed by a token with full utility from day one, launching with a built-in fee switch and a framework designed to scale organically through value creation and reinvestment.
Soul isn't a fork, nor it’s a minor variation of an existing model. It's pure DeFi innovation.
It represents a completely new approach to on-chain money markets, one where users can interact with multiple platforms as though they were a single, unified system. That's our strong competitive edge.
This seamless structure redefines how liquidity flows across DeFi. Users will be able to supply and borrow assets across different protocols effortlessly, with $SO capturing and redistributing the value that emerges from this integration.
It's a user-first experience that prioritizes simplicity without sacrificing composability or control.
➡️$SO Token utility
This approach directly responds to one of the most pressing criticisms in crypto today: the lack of real utility in most token designs.
Many tokens serve as little more than governance wrappers, with no functional demand tied to actual product usage and protocol growth.
But the industry is evolving.
The focus is shifting toward tokens that power real products, products with meaningful use cases and intrinsic value that extend beyond speculation.
This is exactly the context Soul was built for.
The $SO token is not just a governance token. It's the core engine that makes the system work. At the center of Soul's design is a carefully engineered flywheel that ties protocol activity directly to token utility.
As new on-chain economies are created:
⇁ The protocol generates fees and revenue
⇁ A portion of that value is used to buy $SO from the open market
⇁ Distributed as incentives to liquidity providers and participants across the ecosystem.
➡️The Flywheel Effect
Incentives distribution is governed by a gauge voting system, where token holders decide which markets or protocols should receive rewards.
As liquidity grows, so does protocol revenue. More $SO is bought, more incentives are distributed, and the cycle continues, creating a self-reinforcing loop with $SO at its core.
This structure introduces powerful economic behaviors.
Since incentives are steered by gauge votes, there's a real monetary incentive for projects and individuals to accumulate SSO and influence outcomes. Controlling $SO means controlling where liquidity flows.
This is not a theoretical model, it's a proven dynamic already seen in DeFi through mechanisms like the Curve Wars, where competition over governance has become a high-stakes, value-driven game.
Soul takes that concept and expands it to a more versatile market infrastructure. As the protocol scales, the importance of owning or influencing $SO holders becomes more strategic. Bribes, alliances, and governance strategies all emerge naturally within this design, adding depth and utility to the token itself. Not dissimilar to what happened for other governance tokens controlling incentives distribution.
For protocols aiming to bootstrap liquidity, bribing $SO holders to direct incentives becomes more capital-efficient than launching short-term incentive campaigns.
This makes $SO an essential growth asset for other protocols and embeds it into the strategic layer of DeFi.
Each iteration of the flywheel, protocol revenue, market buybacks, gauge voting, and targeted incentives, makes the ecosystem stronger, more valuable, and harder to replicate.
➡️An architecture that scales
Soul's architecture is elegant in its simplicity.
1. The protocol earns fees
2. Uses revenue to acquire $SO
3. Distributes those tokens through gauges as incentives
4. Users can stake $SO in the booster module to access extra reward and influence liquidity flows
This design is built to scale and rewards everyone who contributes, users, builders, and protocols alike.
The result is a superior user experience.
By routing activity through Soul, users gain seamless access to the best available yields in DeFi lending, even outperforming native yields from individual protocols.
This is made possible through $SO-powered incentives and the unified market layer that Soul enables.
⇁ For users, this means higher returns with less complexity.
⇁ For protocols, it means deeper, more sustainable liquidity.
⇁ For the token, it means real utility backed by real usage and paired with protocol growth
➡️Built to Lead
Soul is not just aiming to compete, it's aiming to lead, grow and improve the lending and DeFi space.
Soul is entirely product-driven and built on practical 0 to 1 innovation, while connecting protocol growth to $SO token demand in a direct and measurable way. With a utility model rooted in real value creation, it is positioned to become a foundational piece of DeFi's next evolution.
If you believe in meaningful utility, in tokens that do more than sit idle, and in infrastructure that moves DeFi forward, now is the time to get involved.
The public sale is live, offering access to $SO on fair and transparent terms. High-float low FDV token, backing a transformative DeFi project.🔥

Many just know that @0xSoulProtocol is doing a public sale
But it's actually an ICO
An ICO (Initial Coin Offering)
Why an ICO could be beneficial for Soul Labs:
1. Community Funding over VCs
An ICO allows @0xSoulProtocol to raise capital directly from its community instead of relying heavily on VC. This keeps power decentralized and aligned with users. ( Community first)
2. Wider Token Distribution
Token sales to the public ensure that $SO isn’t concentrated in the hands of a few whales or insiders. But to the community and user of @0xSoulProtocol
3. Market Validation
An ICO lets the market assess interest and demand for the protocol. Strong participation can signal confidence in @0xSoulProtocol
4. Strengthens Ecosystem Engagement
When users own part of the protocol through $SO, they’re more incentivized to use, promote, and help grow the platform.
Soul labs ICO offer advantages,
Such as multiplier on Seeds gotten on their incentivised testnets
REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A FINANCIAL ADVICE
ALWAYS DYOR BEFORE INVESTING IN ANY PROTOCOL
