For those filling out ballots in CA today:
Am a "no" on all new state and local taxes until I get the sense that our elected officials feel even a hint of fiduciary obligation to the tax-payers.

I love leverage but this is a dangerous market to overplay your hand on short term trades. Added aggressively to $AMZN last night while deleveraging everywhere else. The risk of further fear driven volatility is too high whether justified or not. This is a time to think like a long term investor and not let short term leverage take you out of the game.
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesnβt happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

- new ledger supply chain compromise (singapore this time)
- all tech stocks doing a genuine great depression-level -30% candle at close (basically whatever people expected for black monday, squared)
- polymarket: "yeah a million people just got hacked"
- binance: "oh yeah we're getting hacked too"
all against a backdrop of many, many weeks of market weakness + back-to-back existential fud in the form of quantum + "AI is going to break cryptography"
if i had no awareness of crypto charts since summer, and you told me "BTC put in a new low at 45k", i'd be like "oh yeah, that makes sense"
the fact that we just now are wicking to below 79k is fucking astonishing
i maintain that btc is a beach ball under water. it doesn't need unprecedent-great stuff to happen, it just needs to have stuff from the above list (typically once-a-year events) to stop happening every 24 hours.

Five years from now young investors will look back at this market and realize what an extraordinary opportunity fear created. And that opportunity could get even bigger in the days and weeks ahead. Nothing creates greater price misallocations than fear and greed. Weβre living through one of those moments right now. And with fear creating opportunities in some of the worldβs strongest businesses thereβs little reason to take on the added risk of speculative companies.

I still remember the day Paul Tudor Jones came out and called Bitcoin the fastest horse in the race.
It was May 2020. Bitcoin was at $9k. That moment changed everything for Bitcoin.
PTJ's public call forever eliminated the career risk for hedge funds to buy BTC.
Bitcoin went on to 10x over the next year.
Druck investing in trade xyz is that moment for all of onchain capital markets.
The career risk for all funds to participate in onchain capital markets is now zero. "If druck is doing it, I can too"
I wouldn't be surprised to see onchain market volume 10x from here.
Welcome to the next stage of the bull market.

SUMMARY OF FED CHAIR WARSH'S STATEMENT:
1. Fed to eliminate 1 interest rate-setting vote beginning in Fall 2027
2. Fed expects to hold just 6 policy-setting meetings in 2028, down from 8 currently
3. Overwhelming consensus is that the "monetary medicine is starting to work"
4. Warsh says he is "unwilling and unable" to call financial conditions tight
5. Warsh says that inflation remains elevated in the US
6. The Fed awaits more information in determining policy path
The Fed is now in "wait and see" mode.

Elon has every incentive to talk shit and worsen access to capital for his primary competitors (neoclouds) while pumping his own roadmap to improve his purchase power when TSLA is merged into SPCX.
Luckily none of this works if heβs wrong about GPU rental rates and given the rock-bottom rate assumptions and multiples embedded in public neocloud names Iβm not worried despite his incentive to spread FUD.

Tesla has raised financing interest rates (APR) for most Model Y trims in the U.S.
New rates (APR):
β’ Base Model Y RWD & AWD: 2.49% (from 1.99%)
β’Β Model Y Premium RWD & AWD: 2.49% (from 1.99%)
β’ Model Y Performance: 3.99% (same)
Tesla said yesterday they ended Q3 2026 with their largest order backlog for passenger vehicles in four years.

Fundamental assumption that Elon makes and which, if true, makes the bull case on $SPCX a near certainty, is that the value of AI compute will INCREASE over time as the AI models and tools get better and more productive. This will lead to a shortage of superintelligence compute.
So this imbalance of supply and demand will persist, which favors persistently high and in fact *increasing* spot pricing. This means SpaceX has no incentive to sign long-term contracts and can keep selling compute at higher prices on the spot market.
The justification for this: SpaceX has seen first hand that they are selling compute at higher prices/watt, and despite this, are still "hounded relentlessly" by dozens of companies.
Now if you ask me, eventually every market finds equilibrium where price will settle, but no one knows where price will be when the market does equilibrium, nor do we know when this will happen. From the sound of things, it will not happen for quite some time. In the meantime, SpaceX prints cash.
Now here's the kicker. If and when AI compute prices fall (and I doubt they will fall too far too fast, given the input costs to operate AI infrastructure are unlikely to fall too fast, unless we miraculously uncover a source of unlimited energy that can be distributed cheaply and easily), SpaceX will be operating a cluster of AI compute satellites in space that will have much lower operating costs than anything here on Earth bc they run on sunlight, they won't need to be maintained/cooled etc, and bc SpaceX will eventually build them relatively cheaply through economies of scale. At this point, SpaceX will be positioned to win on cost, and thus, on market share and margin, too.
Hard to find reasons to be bearish on $SPCX in this environment.

BREAKING: Russiaβs President Putin has proposed a meeting with President Trump and President Xi to negotiate an end to the war with Ukraine, per WSJ.
The meeting is proposed for next month and was floated on an October 9th phone call with President Trump.
This was the same call that produced a deal for the US to buy Russian diesel.
Well said.
Iβve spent a few days thinking about the Tesla Roadster reveal and landed somewhere I havenβt seen much discussion. Iβm neither a Tesla fanboy nor a Tesla hater. And I couldnβt care less whether what we saw technically qualifies as a flying car. Three takeaways: (1) The risk of that live demonstration going horribly wrong was real. Almost no CEO would willingly expose their company to that kind of public humiliation for a product with so little financial upside. Elon did. (2) That willingness to attempt the seemingly impossible is what makes Tesla special. Itβs also arguably Elonβs greatest contribution to America. Heβs helped bring back something weβve lost. The American spirit of chasing big scary ideas that most people think are impossible. That mindset is spreading across a new generation of founders and its long term impact on Americaβs future could dwarf anything Tesla ever sells. I think this is deeply underappreciated. (3) Can we just acknowledge how insanely cool that moment was? Weβve reached a strange place culturally where even extraordinary feats of human ingenuity immediately become arguments about why they donβt count. Not everything needs to be a debate. Sometimes we should just be able to stand back together and marvel at what humans are capable of. Iβve been both bullish and critical of Teslaβs ambitions over the years. But watching Elon and his team push the boundaries of whatβs possible reminds me why Iβm glad we have him. Whether the Roadster ever makes Tesla a dollar or impacts $TSLA stock price is almost beside the point. We need more people willing to risk failure in pursuit of things the rest of us think are impossible. Because when they succeed we all win.
