I believe in God the Father Almighty;
And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord;
Who was born of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary;
Crucified under Pontius Pilate and buried;
On the third day He rose from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father;
From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead;
And in the Holy Spirit;
The holy church;
The remission of sins;
The resurrection of the body.
Today is the best I’ve felt in a long time. Praise God!
I don’t feel normal, but it’s the closest to normal that I’ve been in months.
This can change moment to moment, but for now, I’m enjoying it and giving thanks.

Ok, Frank. I will engage. You have made a lot of effort to try to answer me and I really appreciate it.
Sometimes I’m not feeling well enough, but today is my second good day in a row. Good as in not horrible 😆
The distinction I was actually making was re the oft repeated claim that Romans 9 teaches that God created some people for destruction. Please tell me if you do not believe this and my question will be moot.
I honestly believe that when God created, the future was open. I honestly believe that God knew all the possibilities. But that he made everyone with the real opportunity to seek and find him. No one was marked out for salvation or destruction.
So you see, the problem does not apply to me.
But I will also share that it grieves me immensely, as I know it does you and as I believe it grieves God, that some people reject the wondrous salvation that God worked through Jesus.
Is my description of Calvinism incorrect? Please detail exactly how.
Even though he could have designed it differently, God made reality so that all people would inherit from Adam a corrupt nature that would cause them to sin and be unable to respond to God.
God decided before creating to only save some people, though he could have saved them all, and to leave the others in their sin which merits death.
God will still punish the people he chose not to save, even though they were born unable to do any differently by his design and plan.
He does this to show his attributes and his glory to the ones he did choose to save.
Life is a literal horror story that God wrote, according to Calvinism…
We have no choice but play our part 🤮

I tell you, reject Christian Nationalism before they jail or murder you just like their forefathers did.
So many Calvinists on X consistently assume the worst about someone, right from the start of an interaction.
Try to think about people in a 1 Corinthians 13 way. Love.
It’s called acting like a Christian.
Challenge to all who believe God can reach into a person’s heart and change it:
Read through the entire Bible focusing and taking notes on this one topic.
When does the Bible say God did this?
Does God talk to people as if he can do this?
HOW is God said to change people’s hearts?
“God wants to save everyone, but He can't.”
Think about that statement.
The God who declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), does all that He pleases (Psalm 135:6), and accomplishes all His purposes (Job 42:2) is supposedly powerless before man's will?
That's not the sovereign God revealed in Scripture.
Read John 6:37–44.
God wants to save everyone, but he can’t.
Salvation is a restoration of fellowship with him, and some people refuse it.
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!
Matthew 23:37
What more could have been done for my vineyard
than I have done for it?
When I looked for good grapes,
why did it yield only bad?
Isaiah 5:4

It says the MIND set on the flesh cannot please God. Doesn't say one cannot change their mind. Anything we do with the mind falls under the control of the agent changing their mind and therefore cannot be in the category of what Paul says cannot please God.
Replying to @1984_nate @Soteriology101
Romans 8:7-9
“For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. [important shift here] You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.”
If believing so something that pleases God, the it explicitly states that you can’t do that. However, those who are in the Spirit can do things that please God. Those who belong to him can, those who do not belong to him cannot do things that please him. Since believing, having faith, repentance, and glorifying God are all things that please God, then those are not things those in the flesh can do, only those who are in the spirit.
No one is bearing false witness. They’re simply rephrasing Calvinism in a way that highlights its flaws and entailments.
Stop with the hyper-righteousness.
Libertarian Free Will is a doctrine of demons.
LFW makes man sovereign over God.
LFW teaches that man saves himself.
LFW robs God of His glory.
LFW is a man-centered false gospel.
LFW proponents worship human autonomy rather than the God of Scripture.
Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
Yet these are the kinds of accusations Calvinists hear regularly, simply reversed.
Disagree with Calvinism? Fine. Open your Bible and make your case.
But if you wouldn't appreciate your beliefs being deliberately misrepresented, perhaps you shouldn't do it to others.
Disagreement is not a license to bear false witness.
