Good to see this @emer_currie1. I raised the need for more supports for those wishing to breastfeed with Taoiseach @LeoVaradkar at a recent meeting following the publication of this research by Prof @roykphilip on the reduced hospitalisation rates from RSV on breastfed children.
Yesterday I raised this UL research by @roykphilip with the Taoiseach @LeoVaradkar as one example of how doing more to support breastfeeding will have huge benefits for the country from a Preventive Health Care perspective. More infants breastfed = better protection against RSV.
