A "movie" (or "film") is a discursive event that takes place on X dot com, consisting of several weeks of commentary on 2 or 3 staged photographs
Some have claimed that the images come from video recordings that can be viewed at certain venues, but these rumors are not credible.

There is a peculiar Third World malaise of thinking that everything of value is created by their primary industries, and all the more advanced economies like the US and Singapore and Malaysia do is steal all their profit from them. I can't tell if folks really believe that

our immigration policy should be set up so it's not inviting in millions of people whose primary consideration is using American power to prosecute their grudges from back home
Male folk sociology of women is treated as a potential terrorist ideology, female folk sociology of men is taken as pop science, promoted by major institutions and accepted as a behavioural blueprint for socialisation
Do people not feel any embarrassment posting these hideous mutant freak bloated AI maps—even for a joke? I guess most people are too geographically illiterate to notice anything wrong with it
Nobody has been "warned about AI capability trajectories for a decade" except for weirdo freaks in the Bay Area who spend their time reading autistic Harry Potter fanfic and novel-length Roman-numeraled blog posts

Idk, normiecattle have been, and are still, willingly ignorant about AI capability trajectories and AI dangers despite being warned about this for a decade.
They need to have their faces rubbed in this until they wake up!

One of the greatest “wet roads cause rain” arguments I’ve ever seen. This study, which cites additional studies, notes that children who are suspended from school at an early age have worse behavior as they grow up. Their conclusion: suspension from school causes bad behavior to get worse.

Libtards, even with ones with PhDs in economics, do not think the behavior of economic actors changes in response to incentives

The key problem is this:
Why would billionaires permanently leave California in response to a one-time tax owed if they lived there on January 1, 2026?
It would only make sense for them to leave if the tax becomes annual.
But if the tax becomes annual, it would also generate revenue annually — by virtue of, well, being annual.
I'm certain I have an early memory of my mom taking me into the polling booth with her—I remember thinking it was "boating"—And I swear I remember she said she was voting "for Clinton". Which would imply it was 1996, when I was 2½. But maybe it was actually the 1998 midterms.
I have trivial memories associated with the 2000 election, 9/11, and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, and I remember the 2004 election, but wasn't yet old enough to really get the substantive difference between the Democratic and Republican parties.

Characteristics of *actual* banned books:
- Amazon refuses to sell bc it violates their “offensive content policy”
- online forums discussing it are filled with ‘we need to do something’ anons (FBI)
- people will fly around the world to murder you for translating it
If the US government divided the states into regions the way the French government arranges the French regions
The French regions after the government's next round of consolidations
I haven't lived in outright exurban or rural apartment buildings, but I've spent most of the last 10 years in suburban apartments. The ones I've lived in have mainly housed students—usually grad students—and early-career or transient professionals not looking buy a house.
Naïve third worldists are absolutely entranced by the completely fictional image of men in powdered wigs and embroidered red frock coats cracking the whip on enslaved African agricultural and industrial workers on vast latifundia in 18th-century Europe
Without Africa, there’s no France. Without African resources and labor, there is no western civilization.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
France (and many other European nations) was one of the world’s strongest nations with developed and diverse culture long before the first colonies.
