Jeff Bezos may be to blame for the Ferrari Luce
Ferrari Chairman John Eklann said that a conversation between the two back in 2016, where Bezos said the company needed to make an EV, was the first time a Ferrari EV was taken seriously.

That nagging pain that feels like you were family. Memories from a distance that feel like you were so close. Royalty that came with unusual humility and low profile. No drama, no harm, no noise - just human.
I always thought the biggest misstep about material design, was never having form.
Celebrating small wins is hardwired into "Achieve," our goal-tracking sample app.
We wanted the simple act of checking off a task to feel like a celebration. Instead of the standard #Material ripple, we used Styles to drop in a custom, high-contrast completion animation—specifically, a brand-colored ring that expands and fades on tap, paired with a subtle pressed-state gradient.
It lets us focus entirely on polishing those custom, rewarding micro-interactions while Material handles the foundation.

Reminder to go touch grass
A scientist in Japan demonstrated that the air inside a forest strengthens your immune system for a full month
The study is incredibly fascinating:
Qing Li, an immunologist at Nippon Medical School in Tokyo, took 12 men on a 3-day forest trip. These were slow walks with no breathing exercises and no set route.
Then he tested their blood and found a surge in natural killer cells -- the immune cells your body uses to fight cancer and virus-infected cells.
Remarkably, the effect didn't fade when they went home, it was still measurable 30 days later.
A control group that walked the same distance through a city showed no change at all.
Pine, cedar, and cypress trees release compounds called phytoncides to defend themselves from insects and bacteria. You breathe them in, and Li believes they switch your immune cells into high gear.
He estimates one forest walk a month may be enough to keep those cells elevated all year.
The best medicine might not even need a prescription -- just a walk among the trees.

do you understand what Anthropic just admitted?
AI for students has mixed results. so they built for teachers instead. every other lab is going the opposite direction.
it’s called Claude for Teachers - built for the teacher. not the student.
what it actually does:
→ connects to Learning Commons, which gives Claude the academic standards for all 50 states, plus the smaller competencies underneath each one and the order students typically learn them
→ pulls from real curricula like OpenSciEd and Illustrative Mathematics, so lesson plans arrive already aligned instead of needing to be checked line by line
→ builds differentiation plans, adapting the same lesson for students at different readiness levels, with scaffolds for multilingual learners and accommodations for IEPs
→ connects to ASSISTments, Brisk Teaching, and Canva Education
→ can pull a student’s past assessment data and assignment history and draft individualized plans overnight
the real bet:
→everyone else is trying to build the AI students use.
→Anthropic is trying to build the one teachers can’t work without.
those are very different companies in five years.
We're introducing Claude for Teachers: free access to premium Claude capabilities for verified K-12 educators in the US, with a library of teaching skills and a direct connection to evidence-based curricula, mapped to academic standards in all 50 states.
