Seems there's not a single person left in the tech industry who can rub 2 brain cells together & pass the "just because I can, does that mean I should?" morality test
Absolutely nothing good will come from any of this, from deceived customers to the graveyard of ruined careers

This is fucking disgusting and a crime against humanity.
This company is growing real human neurons to use for computing. We don't know how consciousness works! It's bad enough that we don't know what to think of brain-like LLMs. This company says fuck it, remove all doubt, make the computer out of human parts!
If you don't think the neurons they are using now are conscious, do you think this is where it ends? No! Obviously not. Obviously if they can get more performance out of something more brain-like they will. We cannot allow them to use literal human brains as computer products.
And they know they're doing something horrible. They chose to name their product "mischief" and launch with a "happy halloween" nod. The AI companies are attacking our society in places where we don't have laws yet. Our government needs to react fast.
today, we introduce a little mischief to the world.
for four years, we’ve been brewing real brain cells on electrodes to understand how they compute. now, we’ve turned those discoveries into a video model anyone can use.
from 0.5¢ a second, mischief 1 is at least 5x faster than its base and the cheapest image-to-video model on @fal and @OpenRouter. soon to be on @awscloud marketplace.
it’s not a delusion anymore. biocompute is real, commercial and this is just the beginning.
happy halloween.
This guy has the funniest instincts I’ve ever seen in an executive. A genuine gift for saying weird and off putting shit like “I can’t imagine raising a kid without ChatGPT” or “it takes a lot of energy to raise a child too” or “it’s more important data centers get RAM.” A real talent
🦔Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” for regular people to keep so much memory in their own computers. He told the Cheeky Pint podcast that home PCs only use their RAM about 5% of the time. In his view, the world’s limited supply of memory does more good in the cloud.
My Take
He said this the same day Intel blamed expensive memory for a drop in PC sales. My car stays parked for most of the day too, and I’m not selling it to rent one by the hour.
OpenAI earns its money when you rent its computers instead of using your own, so of course Altman wants the memory in his data centers. I think he worries about local AI more than he lets on, because people who run good models at home have less reason to pay for ChatGPT.

The majority of Ai revenue is now nothing more than investor dilution and money borrowed from banks. In other words, it’s fake.
True money coming in from outside corporations is a tiny fraction of circulating borrowed money and investor inflows.
Only about $12-$30 billion of outside money flowed into major Ai frontier labs in 2026. 70% came from within tech.
It’s setting up an absolute disaster as trillions of dollars have been borrowed without generating returns.
If you take a look at $AMZN AWS they are generating almost no additional operating income on their investment while Capex has exploded to 50% higher than revenue AWS actually generates a quarter. Capex has exceeded revenue for 4 straight quarters. This sets up for major operating profit reversals and potentially in 2027 and losses in 2028 as this year’s Capex on GPUs starts to depreciate.
It’s not a specific problem to Amazon either… All of these companies will be seeing massive reversals in operating profits next year and it’s going to do major damage to the people holding the bonds and shareholders.
If tech companies continue to struggle to borrow in 2027, trillions of dollars of circulating deals will immediately collapse and could drive negative operating profits mid to late 2027.
None of the money is real, outside of $12-$30 billion from outside tech. It’s borrowed and the losses are about to be enormous.
The Ai Paradox
The only industry in history where everyone involved becomes more profitable via infinite price hikes, while the underlying service being offered has to cut prices because of demand problems.

Joined Jon Stewart on @weeklyshowpod to talk about the AI bubble, the massive credit risk of AI data centers, Anthropic's S-1, and how American retail investors are massively exposed to the unwinding of the AI trade.

How the fuck they gonna finance $800 billion with a junk rating?
Answer: They are not.
This is a Ponzi falling apart. If they push this turkey through to IPO, all rationality has left the building. Everyone involved should go to prison.
BREAKING: Anthropic is now expected to receive a "high junk" rating from major credit rating agencies after its IPO, which could come as soon as November, per FT.
Details include:
1. Blackstone has told investors that Anthropic likely will not receive an investment-grade rating immediately after its IPO
2. Blackstone is working with banks that stumped up financing on selling the debt on to other investors
3. An investment-grade rating is "central" to Anthropic's ability to continue its AI buildout
4. The company says it expects to spend over $800 billion on computing infrastructure between now and 2045
Debt markets are increasingly in the spotlight as AI funding becomes less abundant.
