He was 32 years old, on a business trip, with a pregnant wife and two little boys waiting for him at home.
On September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer boarded United Flight 93, headed from Newark to San Francisco. He was supposed to come home to his family. Instead, he became part of a group of ordinary Americans who made an extraordinary decision.
After hijackers took control of the plane, Todd reached a telephone operator on the ground. He told her what was happening, asked her to pray with him, and learned that other planes had already struck the World Trade Center.
The passengers understood that their plane was likely being used as another weapon. They had a choice: remain in their seats and hope for the best, or fight back.
They chose to fight.
Todd and the other passengers and crew members organized an effort to retake the cockpit. At the end of his call, the operator heard him say:
“Are you guys ready? Okay. Let’s roll.”
Minutes later, Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. All 40 passengers and crew members were killed, but the hijackers never reached their intended target.
Todd Beamer never made it home. Neither did the other 39 innocent people aboard that plane. But their courage helped prevent another attack on American soil.
They were not soldiers. They were people going to work, visiting family, and living ordinary lives.
And when the moment came, they fought back.

Another two Afghans have been convicted of raping a woman while holding a knife to her date's throat.
Khan Agah and Noorullah Ahmdzai lied to the court, saying the woman agreed to have sex with them for £20 and accused them of rape when she didn't get more money.
Agah also lied about his age, saying he was 16 at the time of the rape. He is 19.
The woman was on a first date with a man in Barking Park on 16 August 2025, stargazing while the man played a guitar.
Agah and Ahmdzai approached the couple, held the man at knifepoint, and took turns raping the woman.
Ahmdzai came to Britain on a small boat in August 2023 and lived at a taxpayer-funded hotel. Agah also arrived illegally, but when and how remains unknown.
Another two men who never needed to be here, and two lives that never needed to be ruined.
There should not be Afghans in Britain. They must be deported immediately.
The politicians, civil servants, and immigration activists who brought them here have oceans of blood on their hands, and must be punished too.
🚨Tristan Tate countered the BBC’s loaded questions by showing them an image of convicted pe*ophile Huw Edwards:
"He is one of your colleagues, he was caught sending child p*rn to children."
The BBC proceeded to IGNORE the claims made by Tristan Tate.

YOUNG BOB SERIOUSLY ASSAULTED: Footage appears to show left-wing extremist Daniel Rushby, alongside a gang of apparent immigrants, attacking Conservative commentator @YoungBobRB in Manchester today. A very serious assault. @gmpolice I sincerely hope charges will follow, the country is watching.

.@UKLabour I would STRONGLY suggest that you remove this post immediately as your statement of myself ‘assaulting’ a female officer is highly misleading and completely false as I’ve never laid a finger on a woman let alone a female Police officer! However doesn’t Labour allow for female police officers to have their noses broken nowadays??? #Manchester #Labourout
Self-professed sexist calls man who assaulted female police officer his ‘hero’.
Reform UK has a serious problem with women.
