Per Moody’s, private credit “reported defaults” are 4.0%. Yet their actual “credit stress group” which includes PIK amendments and maturity extensions is 5.8% - about 45% higher. PIK is where companies elect to pay interest in equity, instead of cash, usually when cash is tight. This is the REAL default rate. The number you’re being quoted and the number that matters are not the same number. Question everything. The real teams who understand these assets will have answers. Those larping, will not.

We processed an $8m single-day redemption out of nOPAL today. Liquidity working as intended. That’s 6.7% of TVL. DeFi will have inflows/outflows, and while RWA redemptions aren’t instant, well structured assets will deliver every time. Set realistic expectations and meet them.

With their Plume Vaults, @plumenetwork is bringing OnRe's ONyc to Monad as nONYC. RWA distribution is a key pain point and it's been inspiring to see the Plume team tackling this head on. LFG!
ONyc is coming to @Monad through nONYC. Built by @onrefinance, ONyc gives onchain exposure to reinsurance-backed yield, with returns generated from underwriting premiums and collateral rather than crypto-native incentives. Until now, ONyc has been available only on Solana. nONYC packages the asset through Plume Vaults, making it deployable across supported EVM networks and opening access to new sources of capital and liquidity. With more than $225M deployed across Solana DeFi, ONyc has already established itself as a significant RWA onchain. Now, it’s moving beyond its original ecosystem. This is what RWA distribution looks like: taking institutional assets that already exist and making them accessible across the networks where capital is already moving.

BREAKING: Anthropic says it was profitable in the third quarter, on an adjusted basis, per the Financial Times. The company told investors it brought in $16.8 billion in revenue for the quarter. The disclosure comes as Anthropic reportedly prepares for an IPO.

Huge progress for Plume, and RWAs more broadly, to have a player like Fidelity enter the space. Proud of our team.
Introducing nBND, a Plume Vault backed by Fidelity Total Bond ETF (FBND). FBND is an actively managed ETF investing primarily in investment-grade, high yield, and emerging markets debt. Onchain investment solutions started with short-duration Treasuries. Now, capital allocators want access to longer duration and actively managed products. nBND meets their needs. Cynthia Lo Bessette, Head of Digital Asset Management at Fidelity Investments, sat down with Plume co-founder Teddy Pornprinya (@teddyP_xyz) on investment solutions moving onchain.

Loop on Plume Vaults with one click. Here, Plume engineer @0xhotwheels loops nOPAL at 4x on Ethereum in a single transaction in under 100 seconds. Unlooping is just as seamless. Pick your market, set your leverage, sign, and you're looped. 👇

Glad to see the SEC and US Treasury engaging with vault providers like us at @plumenetwork - confident they’ll come up with a positive framework for the future DC really starting to feel like a second home with @banamlas @ThatAlexPalmer
In July, SEC Commissioner Peirce invited innovators and entrepreneurs bringing asset management onchain through vault protocols to help write new rules and guidance for vault protocols. As the developer of the Nest protocol powering Plume Vaults, we took the opportunity to provide advice to the Commission as it considers policymaking regarding onchain vaults. We believe vaults will play a critical role in open finance, and the SEC can unlock a new era of onchain capital formation with the right regulatory architecture. We thank the SEC for the opportunity to provide input at our meeting on September 22. Our submission is linked here: sec.gov/files/ctf-written-in…

Ryan Wen, COO of Plume, sharpens the "institutions are here" narrative with a distinction that matters: "There's a lot of institutional presence. But we draw a distinction between institutional asset issuers and institutional capital." "Issuers have a product they want to bring onchain. Then there are the actual capital allocators." "Apollo is here as an issuer, bringing products onchain, but not yet allocating capital." "The next stage is when the actual TradFi allocators, family offices, the flagship private-equity funds, start deploying capital into onchain products. For now, it's mostly issuers."

By tokenizing stocks, we have simultaneously made them more composable yet less fungible. Fungibility of stocks is not something the average investor has ever thought of. Interesting dynamic.

Too many of the same assets onchain. People found a few asset classes that worked (treasuries, quarterly gated private credit, insurance) and stuck to it. FACTOR is flipping the model and bringing a whole new type of asset onchain.
FACTOR is here. Invoice Factoring and NWC Financing in a single token. 14% APY. Weekly liquidity. Sourced and underwritten in partnership with Deep Ocean Partners, with contractual amortization and buybacks. Limited capacity available now on Plume: plume.org/factor

To put this in more reassuring terms, senior Anthropic staff think the chance AI kills all humans within the next decade is approximately the chance the New York Jets make the playoffs
Jacob is correct here—we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.
