"I’m wanting to break down that stigma associated with mental illness."
Since 2018, @sally0range has been fundraising for @SSAFA through challenges aimed to open up the conversation on #mentalhealth and support the Armed Forces. She speaks here with @antonycotton via Zoom call.
Great to chat with you and thank you once again for the unwavering support you give to the @BritishArmy @RoyalNavy @RoyalAirForce & @RoyalMarines
As part of @SSAFA's Valentine's
Day campaign to recognise and
celebrate supporters, I spoke with
@sallyOrange who has raised
nearly £10,000 for the charity
through her epic fundraising. You

Fantastic to meet this colourful fruity bunch. Thank you for having me and remember if you are ever having doubts about what you can achieve …#juicedoit 🤣#toinspiretoachieve
A great way to finish the term for Year 7 on Friday. Sally Orange shared her incredible achievements as an ultra marathon runner and her 7 world records! Inspiring and thought provoking for everyone (especially those who got to wear the fruit outfits!) #ambition #resilience
Still crackers about breaking down the stigma of mental ill health & proving you don’t have to be the fastest or fittest to improve your mental well-being…it’s about getting out, having fun & raising money.

"It has always been about proving you don't have to be the fastest or the fittest"
@sally0range has ran her 70th marathon this week in aid of @SSAFAWiltshire
So I’ve gone completely crackers this time!
🏃♀️ @sally0range, a former @BritishArmy Major, Mental Health advocate & UK Ambassador for @ArmyCadetsUK, will be running her 70th marathon on 19 December dressed as a @JacobsSnacks cracker to raise money for @SSAFA. Read more: cobseo.org.uk/sally-goes-cra…
I extend this message to all @ArmyCadetsUK and anyone else taking part in @supportthewalk WHFC challenge from 10-20 Dec and a big thank you for all the money you are raising.
❤🌈Another one of our amazing @ArmyCadetsUK ambassadors @sally0range has kindly taken the time to send a message of support to @OC_13Coy and all those taking part in the walking home for Christmas charity event...
What an inspiration these guys are for our young people 🥰
An absolute pleasure to speak and thank you very much for inviting me.
We were delighted that our amazing Ambassador @sally0range was able to join us at our conference to talk about staying motivated! #armycadets #DofE #everycadet
Honoured to have been invited by @SSAFA to join the National Service of Remembrance this Sunday and looking forward to speaking to @sophieraworth @Raworthontherun about what it means alongside a cadet from @ClevelandCadets on the @bbc from 1015
Communities across Britain irrespective of religion, race or ethnicity share a history of service and sacrifice from the two World Wars through to the present day. Remembrance is a time to reflect on what we have in common. We will remember them. #ArmyCadetsRemembers
Last year Taeghan was mocked for wearing this uniform to school. Today 45 girls at her school and I, wore our uniforms with pride @aircadets @SeaCadetsUK @ArmyCadetsUK @UKScouting @stjohnambulance @CorporalScotty @carolvorders @reallorraine @bigphilcampion @BFBSRadioHQ
This is very well deserved for every single one of them. The determination & tenacity to complete the task with a smile was exemplary, a real credit to the @ArmyCadetsUK Sport has such a powerful ability to connect people @dominic_reid @ArmySportASCB
A rather belated tweet to share what a pleasure it was recently to recognise a number of cadets from 2 Company @ACF_NELondon (specifically 22,23,24 and 26 Dets) for their support to @sally0range running the London Marathon at @TowerOfLondon on 3rd Oct. Cadets received London ACF
Great to chat about all things we don’t normally like to…failure, @samaritans, suicide, the importance of getting help before it’s too late and breaking the stigma of mental ill health as well as living when you just want to die.
