Introducing Supabase Compute, in private alpha.
You don’t need a second platform for your agents and long-running jobs. Run them in your Supabase project, next to your data in Postgres.

One of my favorite parts of @Supabase Select was getting to do a few interviews! 💚
I had a quick chat with @dshukertjr about a question I’ve been getting a lot lately: How can you contribute to Supabase?
Here’s his advice!

Supabase just released a lot of new stuff at Select
Here are the announcements you should pay attention to:

Holy sh*t, the new Supabase Compute is fast 💨 and you're gonna love it.
We ran some quick evals with early access (thanks @mattjohnstondev & @laktek) and the results are really promising.
💰 6.7x cheaper to run at ~$.05 per question (Woz's favorite) instead of our current $.36. That's roughly $500 for 10,000 questions vs the current $3,600.
With Compute, we're seeing 2.3x faster answers before we've started to optimize. And a bonus of 17x fewer tokens used. We like that.
@dreambase_jc is putting together a deeper dive early next week, and we'll be rolling it into @dreambaseAI right away. Anyone else tried it out yet?

Thank you, Supabase, for such an incredible event! I had a wonderful time meeting everyone and sharing stories. So glad you’re enjoying my Woz merch, too—it makes me smile seeing you wear it! 😊

The team at @supabase sure knows how to put on an event.
i think almost two yrs ago i said that sqlite is the perfect primitive for most vibe coded apps, both on the provider side to host it, and for the ppl vibe coding
now, sqlite is also a great fit for vms/sandboxes
supabase acquiring turso makes perfect sense to me
Supabase local dev just got much better for agents
• Run locally without Docker
• Multiple Supabase instances per repo/worktree
• Declarative Schemas 2.0 with pg-delta generating migrations
• Auth, API & storage config now lives in code

Alright, it's feedback Friday.
If you could change or fix one thing about Supabase, what would it be? How can we make the product even better?

looked at @supabase agent evals
opus, sonnet and gpt-5.6 are all tied at 95%
but they fail in completely different places...
Claude is stupidly good at building
100% on build
100% on data api
100% on database
Codex is better as a debugger
100% on investigate
67% drop for Claude there
Claude's only fail is an auth investigation
Codex's only fail is a data api build task
if i had to pick one default -> Sonnet 5
same score as opus, better at shipping schemas
if prod is on fire -> switch to Codex
kimi is fine (86%)
mini is the weird one:
75% build
100% investigate
0% on vector ???
Overall, models are getting specialized whether we want them to or not.
