every time i see a great artwork in the timeline, i just think, what a shame it's : - a lovely digital artifact demoted into a cropped mp4 or low res image - hosted on a server that's now hostile to an open internet and dev ecosystem - looked at for 5 seconds, liked, and immediately forgotten

Here’s a multimodal protocol that uses QR codes to stream data and audio to “backchannel” acknowledgement of received chunks. About 1-2KB/s Multimodality helps when there’s an asymmetry, like here where you need to aim the phone camera.

This is a false dichotomy. You can get both more often than most people want to admit. Not easily, but you can.
We need a counter-culture design movement that appreciates products that are difficult to use initially, but tremendously fast, easy, accurate, explicit and efficient after topping the learning curve. Ease-of-use is oversold. It's making everything suboptimal and slow.

x is complaining about my video aspect ratios 🙄 see also affordances in: the nodes handshake demo, compatible type auto suggestions in blender. why do they have colors?, how houdini's scripting lang doesn't map to the visual editor. rust's ascii art compile errors even

that complexity translated to writing the circuit. I always imagined writing ZK circuits to be arcane but it was incredibly straightforward. I attribute this to Noir’s straightforward syntax, @jimjim_eth teaching, and my familiarity with Rust-flavored code.
