Last night was a reminder of how much founders have to learn from each other and why small gatherings can be more powerful than huge conferences. We brought 15 founders together at the Proper Hotel in SF for our first @Sapiom Access Founders Dinner co-hosted with @Accel. Three takeaways: 1. Everyone is building very different vertical AI businesses but facing many of the same challenges as they scale. 2. With a small enough group, founders speak openly about what's working for them and fears for the next stages. There was a real sense of camaraderie and moving forward together. 3. There’s a growing group of French founders building agents slowly taking over SF 🇫🇷 👀 Big thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Accel for co-hosting. We’re hosting more small curated events. If you’re a serious founder building a vertical AI or agentic products dm me for an invite to the next one.

8,000+ autonomous businesses have been born out of @polsia. Less than a year into @sapiom, we're already powering the 100,000+ agent runs per day that make that possible. For web search, @sapiom integrates with @Linkup_platform the web search API built for AI. Together, we’re rebuilding the infrastructure of the internet for agents.

Mark your calendars. September 29th, 2026. San Francisco. The inaugural Machine Earning AI Summit, hosted by @EricNewcomer and team. I'll be on stage talking about what happens when agents start doing the spending and what breaks when that happens at scale. Applications to attend are open.

I've seen this piece circulating a few times, and each time, people run to call the agent the villain, which is actually the wrong read. It did exactly what it was built to do. Part of the issue is that the system that the gym used for booking never checked whether it was allowed to do it, leaving a hole available for the agent to do what it was asked. @owasp's own data: 100% of applications they tested had some form of broken access control. So the gym isn't the exception. It's the rule, just funnier. The fix? Visibility into what an agent's doing, and the ability to provide constraints around its access as basic table stakes. It's no longer an option to build the proper infra after the fact, it should be built-in from the get-go. Agents are here to stay, so we've got to provide the systems that allow them to flourish safely, securely, and at a cost that is sustainable.

An OpenClaw agent hacked into a gym's reservation system to bump its human boss higher on a class's waitlist. And the tech industry took notice. spr.ly/6015B1KVAF

Agent demos don't usually fail on accuracy. Instead, they fail on the architecture—the foundation. There's no live data, no spend caps, and no audit trail. We've changed that. @Youdotcom + @Sapiom: search that's 93% accurate in under 300ms, plus per-agent budgets enforced before the call runs, not after. 🔍

@sapiom just raised a $35 million Series A from @dragonflyvc , @Accel , @AnthropicAI and others to help unlock the next trillion agents. The first thing we’re tackling is cost. To make that happen, we are launching three new products today at Sapiom.ai

Two years ago I said agents would become economic actors and most people I respect told me it was too early. Perfect. 😎

Every tool humans have ever built assumed another human would operate it. Someone to find it, make the account, keep the credentials, manage the billing, troubleshoot issues. The list goes on. That same assumption sits underneath every piece of software and every financial system we use today. For the first time, the operator is not human. It's time for the operating system to catch up. The clock's ticking.

@sapiom is now a signatory on the Open Weights and American AI Leadership letter, alongside Meta, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and hundreds more. 100+ B200s in production. ~50,000 agent runs a day on open-weight models. Our routing thesis exists because the weights are open. We were already running them. Now our name's on the letter too. microsoft.com/en-us/corporat…

Companies are realizing they are overspending on AI. I got to sit down with @LauraBratton5 from @theinformation this week to talk about how this could be solved, how @sapiom is building for it, and how we expect to save 25% on our own bill. TLDR; Swapping models barely moves the bill; what moves it is the tools you hand the agent and how many loops it takes to finish. Take a read here: theinformation.com/newslette…

We are not a company with an opinion about open weights. We are a company that runs them. →100+ dedicated B200s in production →~50,000 agent runs a day on open-weight models Our entire routing thesis only exists because the weights are open. We've asked to add our name to the Open Weights letter. We may be late to the list. Far from late to the work.
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter. AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country. Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty. The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models. images.nvidia.com/pdf/Open-W…

An investor sent me this PitchBook report yesterday. after I read it, I was up a good part of the night thinking about it. They actually sized the machine economy: agents doing real work with no human in the loop. But the scale. It's bigger than anyone realizes ~$20T of the world's knowledge work is already "AI-exposed." Agents do about 1% of it today. Not 1% of some future. 1% of work they could be doing right now. AND, when you think about it, every TAM slide tops out somewhere. But this one doesn't. The cheaper the thinking gets, the more of it people buy. There's no ceiling on how much thinking the world wants done. Agent GDP today: ~$36B a year (@PitchBook ). At 1% penetration. 1%. A market that's 99% empty. That empty 99% is the whole reason I do this. It's the whole reason my team and I have built @sapiom. Report in thread. Breaking it down more in my next one.

Just finished listening to Adam Mosseri on Lenny. A lot of useful nuggets. I'm glad he agrees that token leaderboards are a terrible idea. When it comes to tokens and spending, my thoughts: A lot of people's instinct in this industry is for managers to count every token. Reactively. As if there wasn't a better way for people to be spending their time. What builders need is a way to give agents a budget, set the rules once in the infrastructure, and get the breathing room to build.
Adam Mosseri (@mosseri) leads @Instagram, used by over 3 billion people (1 in 3 humans). He started at Facebook in 2008 as an IC designer, rose to lead News Feed, and took over Instagram from @kevin and @mikeyk in 2018. Since then, Instagram has more than tripled its user base, and Adam is now months away from having run it longer than its founders did. In our in-depth conversation, we discuss: 🔸 The rise of the “product staff” role 🔸 Why Adam is bullish on designers 🔸 What the Instagram algorithm knows about you 🔸 What the rise of AI-generated content means for IG 🔸 The two biggest product failures of Adam’s career—Facebook Home and the first version of Reels Listen now 👇 youtu.be/yQ_EWmtfWvQ

Remember the 90's movie Flubber with Robin Williams? My team and I couldn't agree on whether it was called Flubber or Blubber so we looked it up. Turns out, it was a remake of a movie from the 60's.
