Phase genomics @PhaseGenomics are amazing. Our chromosome scale assembly of Actinia tenebrosa was only possible as a result of the support they provided. Really helped @LaurenMAshwood pin down the SA8 gene cluster.
The genomic evolution of sea anemones was explored in this recent study. Researchers @LaurenMAshwood @QIMRBerghofer @ePGL_prentis & team found variations in the SA8 gene family from sequencing the species’ venom and assembling its #genome w/ #Proximo Hi-C. hubs.la/Q01YgynH0
