When our kids were small they'd make a royal mess whenever we ate out. We got in the mode of doing some cleanup at the table (gathering dishes, napkin-wiping the table, etc.) before we left, which was not technically required but felt like a net-positive for society and us
I think I'll still load the dishwasher and run it if I'm at an Airbnb and use the dishes. Seems like a civilized thing to do.

my claude found a zero day vulnerability in the book of mormon. "brethren, adieu" at the end of jacob has now been patched with "bye chat."

Dario does not bluff
Credit to Dario who said pretty much exactly this would happen, and on this timeline, thanks to seeing what Mythos could do. In May, Dario said there's a 6-12 month window before Chinese models catch up was also correct. That was 5 months ago.

I might finally get access to my medical records. 😭
Quest Diagnostics has been hacked. Patient data was exposed. They serve roughly half of U.S. hospitals and physicians. Investigation ongoing.

excellent news on skin cancer, and perhaps for cancer in general. mRNA vaccines are turning out to be some of the best things humans have invented; crazy how politics led many people to freak out about them. washingtonpost.com/health/20…

As it became more efficient to make durable boots in the 90s we found that the total consumption of new boots actually rose. We called this Jevons Pair of Docs

Run, do not walk, from any cloud provider who is throwing public shade at Railway (or any other provider). The better your security team is, the more internal pressure you have not to mouth off about security in Q4 2026.

"2 to the 256"
Oh my goodness this has to be right. Instead of generating a random 256-bit number they generated a random number between 0 and 256. That’s how they got 4, 66, 155, 156, 230 and 237.

Luka and SGA are extremely talented players. They would adjust very well to the same treatment as every other player. They might even like the game more themselves—deep down they 100% know their whining and cheap fouls are lame, but they're too valuable currently to stop.
The league kinda belongs to Luka and SGA right now and objectively no one can stand these guys. Incredible product happening in the NBA. Two days in and everyone is already tired.

“My customer would never initiate transfers of money out of our DDAs paying no interest into random external accounts that pay 3%. Must be agentic interference”
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

This is awesome, and 1Password is awesome. My one reservation is that I usually don't *want* to approve each login. I want to have control over my permission level, similar to the way that I have control over my permissions for Claude Code etc. Hopefully it'll become flexible.
We're excited to bring 1Password directly into @Muse for the many people who already use it. It gives you another secure way to let Muse sign in and keep working: you approve each login and your passwords stay in your vault. Rolling out across all platforms over the coming days.
