Adults still have brown fat, and the people who have more of it tend to be metabolically healthier. In a large scan study, people with detectable brown fat had lower odds of type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease and heart failure, and their glucose, triglycerides and HDL looked better too. The link was strongest in people with overweight or obesity.
Brown fat burns energy to make heat, and regular cold exposure can increase its activity. I'd consider a cooler bedroom or brief cold exposure a reasonable habit, but it adds to good food and movement and won't replace them.
Migraine headaches are a billion dollar a day problem in the USA. More people should know about this Lamp.
Clinicians tell me that thru closed eyes, it relieves the pain of migraine in minutes.
So far, Health X remains mostly unimpressed.

Football has gotten much more interesting for me to watch since the best teams, players (and coaches) in the NFL started using @MorozkoForge
Except the Commanders are now 1-4 since releasing Morozko friend & customer Tyler Biadasz, who is now out for the season with Chargers. He's got the same injury that former Cardinal's center @aqshipley had.
After the Steelers victory in Paris this morning, we calculate that NFL teams with players or coaches using Morozko are 21-9.
The Commanders, at 1-4, are pulling down the win percentage.

When skin is exposed to 380nm UVA/violet light, it activates OPN5 and stimulates melanogenesis.
Just in case 380nm is a warning to the body that allows it to prep for the shorter, more dangerous wavelengths of UV light, I loaded up the MyGreen Basking Lamp with 380nm LED chips.

Opsin 5 Senses Ultraviolet (UV) Radiation in Human Epidermal Melanocytes
Your whole adult life you knew for a fact that only UVB would stimulate melanogenesis. Then along comes a new paper that says, "Well acktually, it's the 380nm UVA/violet that stimulates OPN5 to signal melanogensis," and now feel stupid af because nobody ever told you that before.

When the cornea is injured OPN5 temporarily appears in higher concentrations to absorb UVA/violet light and speed wound healing [mice & monkeys].
Animal models with OPN5 & 2hrs violet light exposure exhibited 75% would closure in just 12 hours, compared to <25% for green or red.

When @RobBroadway_ starting using the MyGreen Hair Growth Hood 10 weeks ago, it was because he'd tried everything else short of hair transplants.
This is what happened to his crown.
Clinical trials with human subjects demonstrate the efficacy of green & red light for growing hair.

Red light photobiomobulation (PBM) devices for hair growth fail to target the skin. Most of their energy penetrates too deep below the hair follicles.
The MyGreen Hair Growth hood deploys only the wavelengths that are proven in clinical trials to regrow hair:
- 532nm green targets melanin in the epidermis
- 660nm red targets mitochondria in the dermis
- 730nm to target hair follicles
This is the most efficient PBM device anywhere in the world for regrowth of lost hair.

Learn it, know it, live it! @seagertp @MorozkoForge
It has come to our attention that some medical doctors and Instagram influencers may have been living under a rock since 2023 when @joerogan explained to @derekmoreplatesmoredates that cold plunge should be done BEFORE exercise, and not after -- a fact that Joe picked up from @seagertp and the @hubermanlab podcast with Stanford Professor Craig Heller.
If this is new to you, then please accept our apologies for thinking that the man with the most popular podcast in the world could not possibly have escaped the attention of the Instagram experts who have suddenly discovered some new secret knowledge of ice baths.

Seeing the ice floating on the water will activate your sympathetic nervous system before to even touch the water.
Starting my third week of cold plunging. Last night I dropped the temp from 45 to 40 on our @MorozkoForge. This morning there was ice floating on the top.
Next level mind games to get in! 🥶
Should women do ice baths?

There are 3 wavelengths of light that have been shown to increase human hair growth:
1. 532nm green for the dermis
2. 660nm red for the epidermis
3. 730nm for the hair follicle
Each wavelengths penetrates to a different depth to govern the health of your scalp and growth of your hair, and yet this combination of wavelengths has never been tested in any clinical trial anywhere.
mygreenlamp.com/post/hair-gr…
The MyGreen Hair Growth Hood incorporates all three wavelengths demonstrated to grow hair on the human scalp. @RobBroadway_ has been using the Hood for 11 straight weeks.
He, his barber, his wife, and his employees are noticing that he has more hair.

We get testimonials like these because green light heals skin.
Not everybody wants healthy skin, but for those that DO, the Forest Skinlight is going to save them when they can't spend 3-4 hours in the woods.
mygreenlamp.com/product-page…
The Forest Skinlight energizes melanin in the epidermis and dermis of your skin, where new skin cells are constantly forming. It accelerates skin healing, reduces wrinkles, and supports restoration of elasticity with both green & 730nm red/near infrared.
Red light photobiomodulation devices aren't designed to do what the Forest Skinlight does, because they don't use wavelengths that target the skin. Most of their energy goes right past the skin, deeper into the body.
The increased efficiency of the Forest Skinlight explains how such a small flashlight can have such a huge benefit, and why the early reviews are so astounding.

One mechanism by which calorie restriction (CR) extends life in mice is by lowering core body temperature, Tb -- but it only works when mice are housed in the cold.
Lower core body temperature is associated with longevity in studies of many species.
"Cold promotes longevity via specific pathways including nutrient sensing and proteostasis... cold promotes longevity via specific pathways including nutrient sensing and proteostasis, as well as:
- modulating the thermodynamics of proteins and nucleic acids by changing their structure and function, for example, affecting temperature-sensitive ion channels,
- long-lived temperature-sensitive dauer mutations, base-pair stability and stem–loop RNA structures.
- Temperature affects the epigenetic signature and inflammation
"Lowering Tb can also induce RNA-binding cold shock proteins, activate cold-sensitive kinases and differential splicing to potentially reshape the cellular environment."

Lower body temperature fights aging and promotes longer lifespan, and may be an important factor in the effect of calorie restriction on lifespan.

A visible six-pack is not necessarily healthy.
It just means you've stripped away a layer of protective fat.
On an MRI, you still have visceral fat surrounding your heart, your liver, threaded through your muscles. You got rid of the superficial stuff but left the dangerous stuff alone.
By all means, have a six-pack, but stop focusing so much on that layer of healthy, subcutaneous fat.
