it's funny seeing people go crazy over this but it's shockingly trivial if you think about it a cross platform application that serves assets (chrome) and has direct access to the gpu to render the game (webgpu) if anything it's crazy that it took this long (abstraction slop)
CYBERPUNK 2077 NOW RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER 🚨 WTF IS GOING ON, HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE LOL A dev called omonkeyzz got Night City running in Chrome using WebGPU. It's not cloud streaming. It runs on your own GPU, and the game streams in as you play.

i will be cast to the shadow realm if jblow sees me calling this "direct access to the gpu"

its amazing how long we have tolerated ssh. mosh is slightly better sure, but we deserve better. - survive network changes (quic) - full modern vt - scrollback - kitty graphics protocol - clipboard (duplex, any format (pasting images in claude)) - files (no need for scp)

if you've ever tried pasting an image in claude code running on a remote server that you copied on your localhost, you know the pain. t3 code has largely absolved all my terminal usage but who knows, if software was good i would use the terminal more

oh, when a program tries to xdg-open on a remote server, we should be able to automatically open it in our local app :)

the opportunity cost of not working on maximally fun and exciting things is too huge having fun is like a 10x multiplier on your creativity, intelligence, charisma and just overall lifeforce so everytime you are not engaging in maximal fun you are missing out on that upside and 0.1x’ing your life discipline and routine only gets you so far, it only ever helps you sustain your baseline or maybe a slight boost so 1.0-1.2x your lifeforce so there’s no time to waste, go and do the fun thing and 10x your lifeforce

people stopped reviewing code because github sucks. even on the rare days that it works, it is slow, ugly and you need to manually parse cumbersome line diffs diffy is a cross platform desktop app, fast, beautiful and it uses a custom semantic diff algorithm.

diffy had its own rust gui framework from the get go but i moved it out into its own repo called quark. it probably deserves its own tweet tbh github.com/seatedro/quark

can someone let folks improving things inside a browser know that they can just stop using the browser

We’ve developed the world’s most complete megakernel framework. It can perform entire training runs, serve inference, play video games, and even do all three simultaneously in a single kernel.
