Not commenting because it’s an operational issue… Per DSMA standing notices 1 & 2 there’s also an editorial responsibility to take into account.
🚨 Three of the UK’s four nuclear deterrent submarines are out at sea, it is understood. It is not clear why but at least one of the boats will be armed with nuclear warheads and on routine patrol. An expert said one of the other Vanguard-class submarines would likely be working up to take over the patrol, while the third could be undergoing sea trials. The Ministry of Defence declined to comment. @larisamlbrown first broke this story in @thetimes The unusual deployment of most of the fleet indicates improved availability, which has been a problem for the Royal Navy’s submarine service in recent years. It will doubtless be noticed by the UK’s enemies.

OFC, brining it under KNDS France is equivalent to government ownership. Be better to do what UK MoD did with Sheffield Forgemasters and running it outright rather than through a commercial cut-out - manage supply, demand, R&D, and tech security.

I'd possibly put this at #2 or #3 after the toothbrush gun incident.

For all the #PHP patching that's going on today, I'll bet there are some folks at NSA, GCHQ, etc who have possibly just seen one of their favourite intrustion tools disappear.

Spoke to a friend who works in the maritime industry, and he said that they mostly carry water now. The jokes just write themselves…
Forget about oil. There are only a small handful of tankers in the world that transport wine, and WINE TRADER (8808707) can carry 6.32 million liters, which is 8.4 million bottles.
