October is #BreastCancer Awareness Month
One of our own Valkyries, @Whoswhonm2u, was officially confirmed to be cancer free on October 4th.
She's still here, still with us, still fighting for Valko alongside every one of you.
She's asked us to support the organization that matters to her: Susan G. Komen, which funds breast cancer research, patient support, and access to care.
Let's show her what this community can do. Any amount, given in her honor:

And, if you havenโt had one recently, go get screened! ๐ฉท

I know this might be hard for some of you to hear - and I mean this in the most empathetic way I can in these circumstances - but there has to be a point where you realise that this game is not for you.
I know itโs going to be hard to admit because I know how much time, money and emotion people put have into playing it but at the end of the day you need to remember:
Love and Deepspace is an otome game, which means that there will always be a diverse cast of multiple LIs that cater to different tastes.
On top of that, it is also a gacha game which means there is always a chance that you wonโt get what you want because thatโs just how gambling works.
Iโm not saying you have to like all of the LIs, I know everyone has their favourites, and Iโm not telling you how you should be playing the game, but because of what the game fundamentally is you all need to recognise that you were always going to come across a character you might not be interested in getting to know.
That is the reality, and you cannot force the game to be something itโs not simply because you donโt like what it has to offer.
You may think that by removing Valko youโve succeeded in doing that, but the fact that hundreds of thousands of people have protested his cancellation with many going as far as uninstalling the game and boycotting spending should tell you something.
The noticeable decline in revenue only makes it harder to ignore that there is a significant part of the playerbase whose wishes and enjoyment matter just as much as yours.
And I think this is where some people really need to reflect on their relationship with the game.
If your dislike for a character is getting to a point where it is negatively affecting your mental health, causing you to do or support behaviour you would never otherwise consider acceptable in any other setting, then something has seriously gone wrong.
If the very thought of a fictional character being reinstated into a game makes you miserable enough to insult strangers online with slurs, weaponise trauma, or actively seek out his content despite claiming you want nothing to do with him, then I think itโs time to reconsider where you put your time and energy.
Because, like I said: you cannot force the game to be something that it isnโt, nor can you expect everyone else to sacrifice their enjoyment to accommodate your personal dislikes.
Try to consider all of this before you start calling us the crazy, unreasonable ones.
