Just took my first @LiftAirlineSA flight from CT to Jozi. What a refreshing change! Friendly helpful staff, no nonsense handling, on time. Bravo!

@HeathrowAirport your passport control system for non British citizens is appalling. Landed at 07:15. Am STILL in the queue more than 2 hours later with at least 100 people ahead of me. There appear to be fewer than 5 passport control officials in booths.

Hugely frustrating scenes at CT International with BA/Comair cancelling flights and putting people onto later flights which are also now delayed. Will be miraculous if we get back to Jozi tonight. Meantime ZERO comms, ZERO air conditioning and ZERO space in departure lounges.

Update. I eventually got home around 11pm last night. Our replacement flight (on @kulula, not @British_Airways ) was predictably overbooked - we witnessed an entire football team arguing with clerks at the gate as they had been bumped to an even later ✈️

Landed at 21:00. Luggage took until 22:00 to emerge. Just not good enough, @britishairways @kulula @ACSA. #shouldhavebeenhomehoursago
