Former Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Ukraine) actually just posted something I agree with. Former British PM Winston Churchill absolutely could have shortened World War Two by four to five years. All he had to do was accept Hitler's surprising peace offers in July 1940 or May 1941 to withdraw German forces from 81 percent of German-occupied Europe (and North Africa) in exchange for an end to the war with the UK and a free hand to lead his long-planned 'international crusade' against the Soviet Union. Doing so likely would have saved the lives of six million Jews who died during the Jewish Holocaust. Similarly, Zelensky could have ended the war in April 2022 by signing the Istanbul Agreement mandating the withdrawal of all Russian troops from Ukraine's pre-war controlled territories in exchange for Ukraine's neutrality outside of NATO and partial demilitarization. History is constantly repeating itself and those who fail to learn from the mistakes of history are condemned to repeat them.

Socialists seem to envision some Garden of Eden where everyone lives in harmony, everyone's needs are met, and nobody has to struggle to survive. What they fail to appreciate is that nature doesn't cooperate with their fantasies. Without human ingenuity, production, and civilization, they wouldn't be living peacefully alongside the animals. They'd be figuring out how to avoid being eaten by them. Nature doesn't provide prosperity, comfort, or security on demand. Human beings have to create them.

The US presidency is the most dangerous office in the world. Here are the top 3 best and worst presidents ever: Let's start with the best: 1. Grover Cleveland vetoed 414 bills in his first term alone, including congressional handouts to drought-stricken Texas farmers in 1887, on the grounds that the Constitution authorized no such charity. He was right. 2. Warren Harding inherited the sharp 1920-21 depression and did almost nothing, cutting federal spending from $6.4 billion to $3.3 billion and slashing tax rates. The economy recovered within eighteen months, precisely because Washington stepped aside. 3. John Tyler, largely forgotten today, vetoed a national bank bill twice, endured expulsion from the Whig Party, and refused to let Henry Clay transform the Treasury into a political instrument. These three men share a rare quality: they treated the federal government as a cage, not a tool. Now the worst. 3. Abraham Lincoln suspended habeas corpus, imprisoned 14,000 political opponents without trial, shut down opposition newspapers, and conscripted men at gunpoint. The war's financing required the Legal Tender Acts of 1862, which forced irredeemable paper greenbacks on US citizens regardless of what contracts previously specified. Centralization of federal power over the states never fully reversed after 1865. The constitutional republic that emerged was a different animal from the one that entered. 2. Woodrow Wilson delivered the Federal Reserve in 1913, the income tax through the Sixteenth Amendment, the military draft, and the Espionage Act, which could imprison anyone for criticizing the war. He segregated the federal civil service. He took the country into a European slaughter with a propaganda apparatus, the Committee on Public Information, designed to manufacture consent. Every major expansion of state power in the twentieth century traces a direct line back to Wilson's two terms. 1. Franklin Roosevelt gets the top prize for catastrophe. He criminalized gold ownership via Executive Order 6102 in 1933, forcing Americans to surrender their gold at $20.67 per ounce, then immediately revalued it to $35, confiscating roughly 41 percent of savings held in the hardest monetary form available. He extended a cyclical recession into a decade-long depression through the National Industrial Recovery Act, agricultural price controls, and relentless uncertainty about property rights. Businesses do not invest when the rules change by executive whim every quarter. Real unemployment never fell below 14 percent throughout the 1930s. He packed the Supreme Court when it resisted. The regulatory state you live inside today, with its 188,000 pages of federal rules, grew from seeds Roosevelt planted between 1933 and 1945. Power corrupts budgets, currencies, and constitutions with equal efficiency. The best presidents understood their job was to leave you alone.

Everyone keeps talking about Russia invading Ukraine like it came out of nowhere. It didn't. Russia told the West for 30 years exactly what would happen if NATO expanded to Ukraine. Every Russian leader since Gorbachev said the same thing. Different presidents, same message: NATO in Ukraine is a red line. 1990s: "Don't expand NATO east." 2000s: "NATO expansion threatens our security." 2008: "Ukraine joining NATO means war." 2014: "We will protect Russian speakers in Ukraine." 2021: "Stop sending weapons and building NATO bases." The warnings were public. On record. In speeches, interviews, diplomatic meetings. This wasn't hidden. This wasn't subtle. The West ignored every single one. NATO expanded anyway. First Poland and Hungary. Then the Baltics. Then talk of Ukraine and Georgia. Each time, Russia protested. Each time, the West pushed forward. February 2022 didn't surprise anyone who was paying attention. Russia said this would happen. The West called it bluffing. Then acted shocked when Russia followed through. Here's what gives it away: the timing. America left Afghanistan in August 2021. After 20 years, suddenly they needed out immediately. Left billions in equipment. Pulled out so fast it was chaotic. Six months later, Russia invades Ukraine. That's not coincidence. That's preparation. The US knew what was coming. They knew they couldn't handle two major conflicts at once. So they ended one to focus on the other. I'm not a professional analyst. I'm just a Serbian who watches patterns. And even I knew Russia would respond when the line got crossed. You're telling me NATO intelligence didn't see this coming? You're telling me the CIA was surprised? They knew. They've always known. The question isn't why Russia invaded. The question is why the West pushed them to do it.

Gruesome
That moment when Nancy Pelosi was flaunting a bracelet made from bullets used to kill Russians. It was a gift from Ukrainian politician Oleksiy Goncharenko. As if death itself were a fashion statement. A grotesque display of moral decay, where slaughter is worn like jewelry and war is paraded as virtue....

The U.S. has been significantly weakened by the war with Iran. This administration depleted our missile defenses, drained our oil reserves, sacrificed our men & women, inflated the price of consumer goods, increased our debt, and neglected our domestic needs… all for Israel.

California’s billionaire tax was supposed to raise $100 billion. Now a new study estimates $30 billion in collections against $39 billion in lost income tax revenue. When you chase away the people paying the bills, everyone else gets stuck with the tab.

Reminder: it was the U.S. that started this horrible Ukraine War by expanding NATO when it repeatedly promised not to, overthrowing the Ukrainian govt in '14, encouraging the puppet govt it installed to violate the Minsk accords, and transforming Ukraine into a virtual NATO state

Bingo
Wenn die NATO-Osterweiterung angeblich nicht so schlimm war, kann die Russland-Westerweiterung ja auch nicht so schlimm sein.
