Unpopular opinion: giving away time and expertise doesn’t take away from my professionalism. I don’t presume when someone asks for free advice or time that it shows lack of respect—I assume they just want help. Helping is good. My expertise doesn’t make me too important for that.

Cool thing to say, David. My agency @simplefocus partnered with the @getawair team to design and build the Awair site. It feels good to have our work appreciated, especially as an independent bootstrapped business holding our work to the same standards as Amazon and other titans.
I’ve been buying almost everything from Amazon for so long that I failed to realize how good other shopping sites have gotten. In the last few days, I’ve bought direct from Awair, eero, Sonos, Nordstrom, and Cotton Bureau. All experiences were great! #LifeOutsideAmazon
