Folks, we’ve been here before. We know how this will end. It’s no mystery what happens next.
I will never begrudge anyone who offers a good faith critique of elected officials, even ones I really love, because good faith criticism is essential to a healthy democracy.

Dear @googlemaps, when I zoom into a very specific area and then search for a specific business, that does not mean I want you to then zoom out to show me the locations in the whole f*cking state.

Thanks @Delta for canceling my flight and offering zero notifications. No email, no phone call, no text…nothing.

This is how far the Republican Party has fallen for hitching their wagon to the most disgusting piece of human trash our country has ever encountered.

NEWS
Scarlett Johansson has just issued this statement on OpenAI.
I have confirmed its authenticity directly with her publicist.
"Last September, I received an offer from Sam Altman, who wanted to hire me to voice the current ChatGPT 4.0 system. He told me that he felt that by my voicing the system, I could bridge the gap between tech companies and creatives and help consumers to feel comfortable with the seismic shift concerning humans and Al. He said he felt that my voice would be comforting to people.
After much consideration and for personal reasons, declined the offer.
Nine months later, my friends, family and the general public all noted how much the newest system named "Sky" sounded like me.
When I heard the released demo, I was shocked, angered and in disbelief that Mr. Altman would pursue a voice that sounded so eerily similar to mine that my closest friends and news outlets could not tell the difference. Mr. Altman even insinuated that the similarity was intentional, tweeting a single word "her" - a reference to the film in which | voiced a chat system, Samantha, who forms an intimate relationship with a human.
Two days before the ChatGPT 4.0 demo was released, Mr. Altman contacted my agent, asking me to reconsider. Before we could connect, the system was out there.
As a result of their actions, I was forced to hire legal counsel, who wrote two letters to Mr. Altman and OpenAl, setting out what they had done and asking them to detail the exact process by which they created the "Sky" voice. Consequently, OpenAl reluctantly agreed to take down the "Sky" voice.
In a time when we are all grappling with deepfakes and the protection of our own likeness, our own work, our own identities, I believe these are questions that deserve absolute clarity. I look forward to resolution in the form of transparency and the passage of appropriate legislation to help ensure that individual rights are protected.”

A man on my @united flight had a heart attack. No one did anything. I had to instruct the flight attendant to call 911, ask for a doctor, and for an AED. I had to preform CPR on the man until the paramedics arrived. 🧵
I don’t travel nearly as much as I used to (this is the first time I’m taking a flight in over a year), and the experience is just so awful and dehumanizing.
Why do so many L&D people come home from conferences with the dream of building an escape room experience into their training? Like, why is that a thing?!

In my view, the key CPAC story isn’t that right-wing influencer Jack Posebiec said, “Welcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely.”
The story is how many Republican lawmakers are absolutely silent about it.
May I suggest the media ask every Congressional member who speaks at CPAC, and every Republican presidential candidate for that matter, the following three questions:
1) Do you reject Jack Posebiec’s comments?
2) Do you support democracy?
3) Do you respect the separation of church and state?
And don't stop asking until you get answers.
I believe journalists have a duty to uncover just how deep the threat to American democracy runs.
It’s the answers that should frighten us. Never the questions.

I was asked by an exec last month to apply for a VP job they had open b/c they wanted see how his TA team handled my (pre reviewed) resume:
It was a job I’m:
1) qualified for
2) show direct experience in
3) direct industry experience
Only gap: didn’t have exact job title
Hmmm. Sounds familiar. 🤔

So, it's safe to assume there's a group of lawmakers currently writing legistlation, an amendment, or whatever to prevent a felon from running for, winning, and potentially serving as president from prision, right? ...RIGHT?! 🤷♂️
Cool. Here another example where if it happened in any other workplace context, the person would be fired and escorted off the property.
