Well that was a lot of fun. First β€˜procedural trainer’ session done on my A350 differences course. Paired up with another trainer (Captain) and we swap seats during the session. So you’ll see pictures from both seats at various stages. Everything feels familiar in a disconcerting way. It’s similar enough that it’s familiar. But there are a few procedural nuances that take some slightly changed procedures. I’m sure it will all come together but sometimes it’s harder to change currently solid procedural flows by β€˜a bit’ than just forget them all and learn new procedures. Anyway, motion on tomorrow and we’ll see how that goes! @speedbird020

WATCH: This is the moment Jet2 Boeing 737-800 (G-JZHE), operating flight EXS4FX from Venice, veered off the runway at Birmingham Airport. Looking closely, it appears the aircraft was heading off the runway for some time before correcting, but it was too late. Footage captured via Airport Action livestream. Link on first comment.

The Boeing 737 MAX 10 could be a cash cow for low-cost carriers and transcontinental airlines operating consistently full, high-demand routes. Capable of carrying up to 230 passengers, it’s built for high-density domestic and transcon flying, where additional seats can boost revenue and improve per-seat economics. For some of these routes, airlines will have to choose between a B737 MAX 10 and a B787-8. Its official maximum design range is 3,100 nautical miles with an auxiliary fuel tank, while real-world range can fall to around 2,500–3,000 NM depending on passenger load and configuration. Boeing even says 365 NM more range than competing aircraft without auxiliary fuel tanks. I think for airlines with the right routes, the B737 MAX 10 will be a money-maker.

JUST IN: BOEING 737 MAX 10 ACHIEVES FAA TYPE CERTIFICATION! The largest member of the 737 family has cleared a major milestone, having been officially certified for commercial passenger flights. Stretched 66 inches longer than the MAX 9 and capable of carrying up to 230 passengers, the MAX 10 is designed to compete directly with the Airbus A321neo.
