The Biden Administration is attempting to pull off, by locking up 30 percent of our land and creating new assets out of thin air, the GREATEST conservation con in our nation’s history! #stop30x30 #libertymatters #facts #propertyrights

I read a LinkedIn post this morning regarding a recent WAPO article, Why Are Americans Getting Shorter. I didn't read the article. Assumed the poster was summarizing its conclusion, that it was due to Republican policies that impacted the diet of the poor. 1/4

Avg height of white male in the US is ~ 5'10", black is 5'9", Hispanic and Asian is 5'7". I think that explains the drop in height. Kind of blown away by the absolute decline in the number of white males over this period.

I haven't looked at death stats for months. Just updated a chart I was looking at last year. No evidence of pull-forward effect (reduction in deaths post COVID). Per capita deaths dropped 29% after the Spanish flu which affected 25-40 years olds. 1/2

2/2 I would think the post-COVID drop to be very, very obvious given the older 65+ age group that was primarily affected. Why aren't we seeing that? Avg annual increase in deaths 14-19 was 1.4%.

Incredible; "The suppression of HCQ started before anyone knew there was a pandemic… it started to my knowledge in the fall of 2019... xitter.cf/SteveDeaceShow/status/…
Dr. Harvey Risch is Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health. His work has been cited nearly 50k times. He's also an MD. I asked him what the biggest lie of the last 29 months of COVID has been. Hold onto your butts.

Impact of increased gas prices. I drive ~ 16k miles/year, larger family with SUV getting ~ 18mpg = ~ $2,500 cost increase. Avg fuel economy across US is 24.9mpg. 10k annual miles = $1,100 in added expense. Rise began Nov-20 due to anticipated environ restrictions under Biden.
All-cause death totals by least and most vaxed states. Least Vaxed state death counts dropping in 2022 while most vaxed states are increasing over the prior year. It will be interesting to see what this looks like as the year progresses.

I think most people are pretty much done with COVID but... 2021 vs. 2020 in MN. Very little diff in tot dths. The < in natural cause dths of 1,255 was partially offset by an > of 466 in unnatural deaths (suicide, murder, accident..) netting to 790 < deaths in '21.

My 86 year old, fully vaxed mother, who lives about 3 hours away, just let me know that she has COVID. Her clinic provided zero recommendations for care to an elderly, wheezing woman, just go home and rest. Didn't even recommend vitamin D. Unbelievable and infuriating.
Follow-up from this morning's tweet. Applying the pre Aug-21 CFR to post Aug-21. Barely discernable difference in CFR for those under 65. For the Aug-21 to Feb-22 period, ~ 43% of the cases and ~ 37% of the deaths were brkthrgh.

Comparing the cumulative COVID death and ICU through 8/24/21 with 8/24-2/10/22. Survival rate for 100+ yr olds is pretty amazing. The true rates are higher for most age groups. My family of 6 all got COVID and confirmed with home tests.

MN vs. SD natural cause deaths over the past 3 years. Due to rptg lag the tail end of these charts will rise. The relative trajectory is interesting. 65+ account for > 70% of COVID deaths in MN since mid-Aug when dth totals began to rise. 90% of that pop was vaxed at that pt.

CDC Weekly Provisional Counts of Deaths by State and Select Causes is srce. I hadn't noted previously that SD death totals were below their historical avg in 2019 and 2020 leading up to COVID. Also, no spikes evident post-Sturgis and it looks like 2021 totals will be < hist avg.
