I’m excited to announce some updates on our SquirrelMapper website and new ways to get involved in our #citizenscience research on #urbanevolution! 🐿️ squirrelmapper.org/ [1/7]

We're looking for #squirrel tissue samples! Specifically eastern gray squirrels to study population genomic structure and introduction history in cities. DM or email me if interested in contributing! @wildlifesociety @Mammalogists @LITC_urbanevo @ConBiology @ESA_org

The best kind of friends find dead squirrels for you AND text you about them. Thanks Linelle for always looking out for me. And NYC people, please let me know if you find a dead squirrel. I have collection permits & I'm gathering data for a new project.

Thrilled & grateful for an NSF award to examine mechanisms of #UrbanEvolution with James Gibbs & Gisella Caccone. We’ll study the relationship between urbanization & squirrel coat color with field experiments, genomics, & citizen science. @squirrelsevolve nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAwar…

If you live somewhere where S. carolinensis is found, especially in the northeastern US, you may have noticed that there is conspicuous variation in coat color. There's some cool citizen science that can come out of this, and potential lessons on evolution for 2° and 3° students

I had the pleasure of speaking with @bradcosentino about the Squirrel Mapper project! This is an AWESOME citizen science project to bring into your classroom! I’m looking forward to creating evolution based lessons that concide with this research! @squirrelsevolve #RETevolution
