My school, in Skokie, has a whole row of cabinets filled with school supplies. Why? The reasoning is that if it helps students, teachers shouldn't be restricted by their personal budgets. I've worked in more than 5 districts and this is a first. #skokie735 #teacherlife
Time to buy more plants! 😎 🌿🌱🪴🍁🍃
A thoughtfully designed classroom can not only make school more appealing for students—a 2015 study showed that differences in classroom design can account for up to 16% of the variation in a room full of students’ academic progress over a year.

Had so much fun celebrating the graduating 8th graders! I am so proud of the compassionate, supportive, and innovative class they've become. I hope they all feel lots of pride and excitement for next year. 🎉

As I soak up baby snuggles and enjoy adventures with my toddler, a part of my heart is starting school tomorrow. I'm excited for when I return, but I know my Ss are in great hands. #ittakesavillage #sd735 #yougot

The 8th grade hangout was such a fantastic way to give the students a fabulous farewell. Magnets, food, games, music, and friends. #celebrate #bettertogether735 #magnet #teacherlife #notleaving
This summer, I will miss the gorgeous artwork near my classroom. The students always do such a fantastic job, and our art teacher displays their exceptional work so beautifully #art #middleschool #chooseimpact735
It's always fun opening up an mp4 file from a student, with the title "Robot," because I never know what I'm going to see. One of the best parts of teaching is when students share their passions! #VEX #clawbot #itworks #chooseimpact735
Thank you to the board of education for a wonderful start to the day ☺️ #appreciation #soulgood #coffee #Mondaymorning
Excited for McCracken Middle School to be nationally recognized as a #PLTW Distinguished School! Proud that all students have equal access to a rigorous #stem curriculum in 6th, 7th, and 8th. #sd735 @Skokie735 #chooseimpact735 #robots #vex #coding #Engineering
Our drag racing robots are competing this week, all of them are programmed with a bumper switch. I have been so impressed with the 8th graders! #bettertogether735 #sd735 #vex #programming #robots
Great welcome back from break with some treats celebrating the Assyrian New Year. It isn't always easy to get back into a routine, but it's been wonderful seeing students and staff again. #bettertogether735 #teacherlife #bestjobever #AssyrianNewYear
