An interesting study. If you're on statins or your primary doc or cardiologist is pushing them, you might want to reconsider.
Imagine following nearly 13 million real people for more than 10 years just to see what cholesterol level helps them live the longest. That is exactly what Korean scientists did in a giant 2019 study. They tracked 12.8 million adults who had check-ups between 2001 and 2004, and they kept watching until 2013. More than 694,000 people died during that long stretch.
The results were clear and surprising. Cholesterol and death formed a U-shape. Very low cholesterol was linked to higher death rates. So was very high cholesterol. The sweet spot for the longest life was 210 to 249 mg/dL for most adults. That is higher than many doctors call “ideal.” Younger people had a slightly lower best range, but still not the super-low numbers often pushed today.
Because the study lasted so many years, reverse causality is less likely to explain the low-cholesterol danger. Reverse causality means a hidden illness might lower your cholesterol right before it kills you. With more than a decade of follow-up, early sickness cannot easily account for the extra deaths seen in people who started with low cholesterol. The pattern held across ages and for both men and women.
The huge number of people—almost the entire adult population of a country—makes the findings hard to ignore. Smaller studies can be wrong by chance. This one is massive. It shows that moderately higher total cholesterol, not the lowest possible number, went with the best chance of living longer in this large group.
In short, the biggest study of its kind found that cholesterol levels in the low-to-mid 200s were tied to the longest lives, and the long tracking time makes it tougher to blame the higher death rates at low levels on reverse causality alone.
Go ahead. Vote democrat next month. They promise "free" everything...but never deliver. This is what can happen when you elect these clowns into office.

Spent a wonderful afternoon with the lovely @babybirch7 up along the shore of Lake America. It was an absolutely beautiful afternoon.
Hey Jeremy, (I can call you Jeremy, right?) I've got to say, I love the ratio. Secondly, would you be pi$$ed if I called them Indians? I mean, that's what they've been called forever...just like the baseball team in Cleveland!
I'm just surprised that this hasn't received more likes and reposts.
👇🏼 New York voters need to know THIS 👇🏼
Since @KathyHochul took office, New York City has refused 14,676 federal requests to hold people arrested here. The NYPD's number honored in five years? ZERO.
That wasn't enough for Hochul. On May 27 she signed a law cutting off 12 police and sheriff agencies across the state from working with federal law enforcement. Sheriffs who wanted to keep dangerous people off our streets? Banned.
Then @TishJames went after them. She sent the letters, ordered Rensselaer County to fall in line, and threatened the sheriffs who fought back.
And @TomDiNapoli? The state's so-called fiscal watchdog keeps signing the checks for all of it.
I'm an immigrant. I came here on a fishing boat at seven. I support legal immigration and I back the police. These three back neither.
Nov 3: Fire Hochul. Fire James. Fire DiNapoli.
When looking at the timeline of
@allchronology, they're nothing more than leftist hacks posting garbage that, at first glance, seems like something legitimate. It's not.
Unless and until @FanaticsSports makes it easier to use their profit boosts (if you can find them), I'll just utilize @FanDuel for college and pro football fun on the weekends. I dumped @DraftKings because they wanted me to upgrade my app & was unable to.
Hey @GovKathyHochul, thank you for caring about law-breaking illegals far more than law-abiding New Yorkers. We'll remember in November; November 3rd specifically. #VoteForBruceBlakeman

Hey @joey_frascati, see...you leave and you miss this Lockheed C130 Hercules toolin' around these parts.
Truly disappointed that the #Indians just lost this game. They're on the verge of losing this series.
Awwww. What a truly heartwarming story. See? I'm really not the monster people have made me out to be!
I wonder how many meals Colleen Slemmer has missed?

At this rate, give it another month and the flu shot will be doing your taxes, walking the dog and fixing your marriage. 💉😂
Experts reveal the annual flu jab MAY help fight cancer and heart disease. 🐂 💩
MAY.
The hardest-working word in modern medicine. 😂
Last week, apparently the shingles jab was helping with ageing.
This week, the flu jab is taking on cancer and heart disease.
Remember when the flu jab was just… for flu?
Now it’s apparently auditioning for “Miracle Drug of the Year.”
And the best part?
“May help.”
Two tiny words doing an absolutely enormous amount of heavy lifting. 😂
As far as I'm concerned, they'll ALWAYS be the Redskins to me. And I'm pretty sure @Scottviterise would agree as well.
