I "fish" the kids in by showing them doubles. Now they don't see 10s. Why? To teach them to look for tens! Our country over does it w/ doubles. Countries that excel in math don't focus on doubles like we do. Making TENS is WAY more important. Love this picture!
Today we were challenged by @gregtangmath to think in GROUPS! Their minds were blown by this poem! The room exploded into HEโS SO SMART after we realized each row was a 10! Combining literacy with math for #ReadAcrossAmericaDay was a hit! #WWEmpowers #MelissaSchools

Itโs Grinch Day! ๐These kindergartners used @PBSKIDS @ScratchJr to code the Grinchโs โค๏ธ growing. We used ๐ to draw the Grinch as the background, then added a character & used the ๐ to draw a โค๏ธ. Ss used the blocks to make his heart grow, then ๐ to add a label. #csedweek2021

Love how these snow globe โ๏ธ projects are turning out! These 2nd graders used @piccollage, then the search ๐ tool to find a โsnow globeโ background. We took a photo of each student, then they used โ๏ธ to trim the background, added stickers & text then uploaded to @seesaw! โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ

Anyone else having glitchy issues w/ #appleclips on iPad? The screen keeps locking up & menus overlaying on top of other menus in 2 top corners. Anytime I add text I can't edit or move it & have to close app & try again. Pretty frustrating! @AppleEDU #AppleEDUchat
