My governor!! ❤️
The journey for the quest to renew our social contract with Ndị Abia took off yesterday as we formally flagged off the Labour Party campaigns at the Umuahia Township Stadium. The occasion also featured the inauguration of the Labour Party Advisory Council, chaired by the former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu. I am grateful to the party leadership, our distinguished party candidates at the national and state levels, our supporters, our fathers of faith and all distinguished guests who joined us for the important occasion. As we begin this campaign journey, I urge all political parties, candidates and their supporters to embrace peace, civility and issue-based engagements. Elections should be about ideas, policies and the future we envision for our people, not personal attacks, intimidation or violence. Democracy thrives when differing opinions are respected and every political group is allowed to exercise its legitimate rights. Our message to Abians is clear: the work of rebuilding our State must continue. Over the past 41 months, we have taken deliberate steps to address longstanding challenges, improve infrastructure, strengthen public institutions, expand economic opportunities and restore confidence in governance. The task ahead is to consolidate these gains, deepen development across all sectors and position Abia to take advantage of emerging economic opportunities. I have also reiterated that no opposition party or its supporters should be intimidated, harassed or prevented from carrying out legitimate political activities. Public facilities must remain accessible to all political parties in accordance with established regulations. We must demonstrate that political competition and peaceful coexistence can go hand in hand. I thank the members of our newly inaugurated Advisory Council for accepting this responsibility and look forward to their contributions to the party's success across the State. As we look towards the February 6, 2027 election, I invite Abians to engage with our programmes, examine our record, study our manifesto and participate actively in the democratic process. LABOUR PARTY! FORWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER!

You see how desensitized we are to deaths in Nigeria. Iraq has maternal mortality 66 per 100,00 Lybia has maternal mortality of 59 per 100,000 Iran has maternal mortality of 20 per 100,000 The lowest MMR in the world is 1-3 per 100,000 live births (in serious countries) But the giant of Africa has 993 per 100,000 and someone is saying Shey it’s less than 1%, for something that’s not supposed to happen. If you follow the argument that pregnancy is not a death sentence aren’t we supposed to be closed down as a nation that our women are dying from pregnancy which is a physiological process and it’s not supposed to cause deaths? This 1% argument is disgusting 🤮
So that’s 0.993% which is less than 1%

Men on here think creating counter narratives and projecting misogyny will counter extremist feminist ideologies, it keeps me wondering how these men will be leaders in their direct families. Even doctors who are expected to know better and understand nuances have joined in.
That "retaliation" and subsequent never-ending escalation is itself one of the goals of this global culture war psy-op bullshit that is being pushed on American-owned social media platforms like this one. The end point of the infinite mutual escalation where the women are insufferable, blue-hair-nose-ring caricatures and the men are equally insufferable, reactionary Andrew Tate caricatures is that our society turns into Japan or South Korea with their "4B" and "Lie Flat" movements where the men and the women physically hate each other so much that they've literally stopped having sex with each other and both populations are set to go extinct within a century. We are Africans. That fight is not our own. We are the planet's youngest, second biggest and fastest-growing continental population. We are demographically destined to be the dominant power of the 2nd half of the 21st century and beyond. Civil war between African men and women does not serve that ambition and it doesn't help our place in the world at all. Since as African men we can't control how African women respond to the pseudo-feminism western psy-op being pushed on them, what we can control is our reaction to them. The single greatest thing we can do as men to restore the balance and end this imported civil war is to STOP ENGAGING WITH PSEUDO-FEMINISTS Stop ragebaiting and being ragebaited by them, stop responding to their social media engagement bait, stop arguing with them, stop debating with them, and above all else, STOP DATING, MARRYING AND SLEEPING WITH THEM. You guys are obsessed with them even though you won't admit it. They absolutely live rent free inside your heads, and many of you are possessed with the dream of "changing", "rescuing" or "taming" one. Let. That. Dream. Die. The reason they continue to wield so much destructive power despite not holding any meaningful economic or political power is because YOU ARE THE ONES EMPOWERING THEM. Leave. Them. Alone. There are roughly 800 million women on this continent. Even if these caricatures have infected the majority of that number with their self destructive ideas, you still have the power to determine the final outcome by developing the self discipline to learn how to control who you choose to reward with your time, your attention, your money, your commitment and your penis. If it becomes clear that they are not being rewarded with those things which you are currently deluging them with, nobody will have to tell them to fundamentally reexamine their worldview. This is one of the ultimate levels of manhood - leading your society by weaponising your silent, deliberate actions instead of doing Battle of the Yappers on the internet with women whose primary life skill is yapping. Stop doing online power tussles with women! It's very unmasculine and even women find it unattractive. Weaponise your behaviour and your silence! Not your words! Leave them to face their yapping, and focus on your deliberate actions. You're men, not broiler hens! Stop clucking!

Village houses are not investments. See it as a vanity project.
Ndi Igbo, Do we really need those ‘mansions’ in the village? No, forget about expectations, traditions and the ‘as an Igbo man’ argument. In terms of investment and utility, are they really worth it? What if we reimagined the Igbo village home? Let’s talk!

bro to bro: we really shouldn’t have opinions on what goes on in women’s bodies, and we most certainly shouldn’t dictate what they can or cannot do with them, coz wtf
Ectopic pregnancy almost took my life! ….crazy part is that it wasn’t the regular ectopic pregnancy where the baby is in the fallopian tube . My baby was directly in my stomach and carried it for almost 12 weeks. I was stooling and throwing up for 2days but I didn’t understand till I passed out on the 3rd. I was rushed to the hospital and they said my PCV was 15% . After 2 pints of blood , it got up and 2 days later , it was 19% again. The mumu hospital people didn’t do scan or anything . I was just taking injections and drugs and I didn’t walk for 6 days. They eventually referred me to a hematologist in another hospital thinking it was a blood clotting problem or something. Getting there , the first thing they did was wheel me to a scan room ( I couldn’t stand or walk)… The lab guy couldn’t believe what he was seeing - Baby inside the stomach directly ke??? . Called the gynae immediately and that one too was shocked . The nurses said they had only read about abdominal ectopic but never saw it. They prepped me for surgery immediately and I heard the gynae telling the surgeon that there was a baby in my stomach and she was like “are you sure you guys saw it well?”. Lool . Apparently, the reason my blood levels kept dropping was because I’d been bleeding internally due to the baby in my stomach( we didn’t know this till the surgery was being carried out). If you see blood that came out from my stomach!!!!!! ….That I’m alive today is just God ooo! The nurses just kept telling me , “madam thank your God”. Pregnancy be like death sentence bruhhhh! Make nobody gaslight me!!!!!

Life expectancy in Nigeria is 54 years, this realization and acceptance can add like another 10 years to it.
my marriage made me sit down with my “male ego” and i realized it was just an empty narrative that i was indoctrinated into. there’s nothing about me that makes me superior or better than my wife. zero

They support Soludo when all of us are speaking against him for supporting Tinubu and doing rubbish in Anambra state. They support Umahi for supporting Tinubu, even when we called him out. They support Orji Uzor Kalu even when we don’t support him. They support Ugwuanyi, when we clearly against him. They support Okezie Ikpeazu, when we clearly against him. But they want you to hate Alex Otti, because we are supporting his good work in Abia state. Listen they are just looking for an excuses to keep Tinubu in power. Ignore their nonsense!

This post was supposed to bring this conversation to an end, but people are still arguing. I understand people that think X users are mad.
I went through @osemagnum posts yesterday and that of @Oluwamidunsin , and honestly, I was very disappointed with you, @osemagnum. I'm not one of your X crew who cannot tell you when you're wrong. On this particular issue, you were wrong. How can you argue with a fellow doctor who has experienced pregnancy firsthand, using textbook knowledge, clinical observations and assumptions from watching pregnant women, as though these give you the same experiential understanding as someone who has actually gone through pregnancy? Let me be clear. I'm not dismissing medical education. I'm saying there is a difference between knowing about an experience and actually experiencing it. You can study pregnancy for years, understand reproductive anatomy, complications, contractions, labour and delivery. You can become a highly qualified gynaecologist or obstetrician. But you cannot claim to know exactly how pregnancy feels simply because you studied it. You can understand menstruation medically, but you cannot tell a woman what it feels like to experience it. Even men who enter the labour room to watch their wives give birth only witness what their wives actually experience. There is a recognised concept in medicine called patient expertise or experiential knowledge. Ian Kennedy's article, Patients are experts in their own field, published in the British Medical Journal, explains that doctors have clinical expertise while patients have knowledge of their own experiences, feelings, fears and realities. Both forms of knowledge matter. Read: pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/article… Interestingly, research on doctors who became patients themselves has shown how firsthand experiences can change their understanding of healthcare and their approach to treating patients. Read: pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/article… If doctors themselves can discover a different dimension of healthcare by becoming patients, why is it difficult to acknowledge that women who have experienced pregnancy possess a dimension of knowledge that men who have never been pregnant cannot personally possess? Now, let's address your long epistles about whether a woman would tell foreign bodies that pregnancy is a death sentence if asked. Excuse me! Have you seen the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights publication titled "When pregnancy and birth are a death sentence", published on 24 October 2025? This is an international conversation about preventable maternal deaths, women's experiences and failures in healthcare systems. But of course you and your best friend Wizard or whatever is his name said internationally, pregnancy isn't regarded as a death sentence. Maybe he knows more than the United nations. According to WHO estimates, approximately 260,000-300,000 women died from pregnancy-related causes in 2023. That's roughly one-two women every two minutes, 712 to 1000 women in a day. Source: who.int/news-room/fact-sheet… When women say pregnancy can be a death sentence, understand that it is a figure of speech, a metaphor communicating the dangers, suffering, complications and sometimes fatal consequences of pregnancy and childbirth. Nobody is claiming every pregnancy ends in death. You can disagree with the wording, present medical statistics and explain that many women have healthy pregnancies. That's valid. But you cannot use your medical qualification to invalidate women's lived experiences. Why should a woman need international approval before she is allowed to describe what pregnancy feels like? I am not one of your X friends. I'm not here to cheer you on when your argument falls below the bare minimum. Being educated should make us more willing to learn, not more arrogant about things we have never experienced. You can be an expert on pregnancy without being an expert on what it feels like to be pregnant. Please learn the difference. ~Tejiomo

Are this the people we are trusting to give us a free and fair election? What is the opposition and tye people doing about this?
“The infiltration is bad. I have seen what they did and it is horrible. The commission is trying to build the trust because the trust is on a ground zero, and some staff are trying to take us back to where we are coming from.” — Lawrence Bayode, Director of ICT, INEC, on the election controversy and efforts to restore public confidence. #seunokinbaloye #sundaypolitics #channelstv

She was head of Faculty of Social Sciences Unizik. She was so simple and laid back you would never have guessed she was a one-time commissioner. The students had no idea whom she was until PO contested for presidency in 2023. She was also very approachable. Worthy to note; during Faculty elections, anti cult refused to allow students vote. Students went to report to her and she immediately stepped in and calmed the situation. These are people Peter Obi worked with, all had careers and knew nobody in government. Their appointment were by recommendations and individual verifications by Peter Obi. It was easy for them to go back to their careers after service. Show me a bigger structure than this!!!
