#dandarostreets A 19-year-old HIV-positive Form 4 student from Masvingo Rural has escaped a mandatory 10-year pris0n sentence after having s3xual interc0urse with a Form 1 boy.
High Court Judge Christopher Dube-Banda established that her viral load was sufficiently suppressed to prevent HIV transmission, sparing her the mandatory minimum sentence under the law.
She was instead handed a 24-month prison sentence, wholly suspended. The student is currently sitting for her O Level examinations.
