Gov. Shapiro and PA House Democrats’ treatment of school choice over the last several years has once again pushed me to vote a straight 🔴 ticket.
A Democratic trifecta means dismantling of all school choice in PA.

Children in cyber charter schools faced cuts to their funding under Josh Shapiro two years in a row. PA House Democrats planned to expand those cuts to B&M charter schools last June.

I’ll never understand how disliking Trump sends disgruntled Republicans running straight into the arms of the Democrats. I’ve criticized him for years. Never voted for him. Never voted for a Democrat, either. They don’t represent me.

The @PASenateGOP has held the line under 8 years of Tom Wolf and four years of Josh Shapiro (+4 years of a Democrat House).
Give PA Dems the Senate, and Josh Shapiro’s “moderate” image flies away like a fart in the wind.
So much is on the line.
And PA House Democrats want any options to go away.

Shapiro will also happily sign off on any charter school and EITC/OITC kill bills that reach his desk if he gets a trifecta.
He’ll basically get to achieve what Tom Wolf couldn’t because Wolf had a GOP legislature.
Remember when Josh Shapiro campaigned on giving Pennsylvanians school choice — then vetoed it when the legislature put it on his desk?
He took millions from teachers unions (PSEA, NEA, AFT & affiliates—roughly $2M+ direct, plus alleged dues money routed through intermediaries), then line-item vetoed his own Lifeline Scholarships promise for kids in failing schools.
Union money in.
No school choice for you.

Today, @PAHouseGOP’s Policy Committee is ending the legislative session with a hearing on expanding/protecting school choice.
Conversely, @PaHouseDems’ Policy Committee hosted many meetings in the 25-26 leg. session attacking school choice.
