I don’t know anything about NFL analytics but the algo’s been giving “optimal pass rate” discourse on my tl.
My take is that way too many people are using EPA for questions of strategy change despite EPA being policy-dependent.
It’s a dynamic programming problem.
Obviously a lot of interdependent parts to model.
Pass/Run yard distribution given Off/Def quality & Def alignment
How Def aligns in response to both expected pass rate, score diff, and field position.
a bunch more i’m sure… but I don’t think it’s too hard just tedious
asked for assorted munchkins at dunkin but got all glazed. I can’t complain tho, cause there’s always a possibility…
ODIs are the best format for baseball fans! Actually, i think they’re just the best format overall, and i don’t know whether to take that as evidence to my point or a blinding personal bias
I don't think this is true. I don't think T20 is the best entry point for baseball fans.
It's not actually short enough to be as short as a baseball game. And it strips a lot of the cat-and-mouse and strategy that is needed to make baseball fans love it.
Ive thought a lot about a format that I think would be the best for the US. I'd love MLC to try it but cricket fans would probably hate it.
you know how swagga like us is a second order sample, it samples paper planes which samples straight to hell, i was curious if they had to clear it with both MIA and the clash, but i checked and it seems like they used an isolated vocal track to completely avoid the problem
