Election Day is here! Go vote the pro-public education slate. We’ve been working to build a supermajority in the Assembly with @SheaBackusEsq, Selena La Rue Hatch, @AlexPereszlenyi, @vinnyspot and, of course, @AaronDFordNV for Governor! Vote centers open until 7pm.
Polls are open, Nevada! A vote for @AaronDFordNV is a vote for our public schools, our educators, and our students. #EducatorVotes2026
Two Dollar Joe.
2! As in the amount of money Joe Lombardo gave Nevada students! $2!
During and after the Two Dollar Session in 2025, NSEA warned that districts would face shortfalls and students would lose educators and services. Sadly, those warnings became reality. youtube.com/watch?v=jyXmm17c…
If you think @HaleyforMI is bad, wait until you hear about the Clark County Education Association!
The Governor is over NDE, responsible for educator effectiveness, licensure, etc. Given the focus on mastery and continuous improvement, his comments are disqualifying.
🚨NEW RECORDING: @JoeLombardoNV says, “I think anybody could be a 5th grade math teacher. I think I could do that.”
Teaching is a profession, not a punchline. Nevada educators deserve respect, not condescension from the state's highest elected official.

Joe Lombardo can't buy the trust of Nevada's teachers. They know his record: he vetoed guaranteed school meals for kids.
I was a public school math teacher for years. I've seen what educators and students are up against, and I know our schools need real change. As Governor, I will fight for Nevada's students and teachers every single day.

The poll, commissioned by Strong Public Schools Nevada, the Nevada State Education Association’s political action committee, found that Clark County teachers surveyed favored Ford over Lombardo, 52% to 32%. Statewide, teachers surveyed favored Ford, 54% to 31%.

Chris @Giunchigliani tells it like it is. “I don’t need convincing that strong unions matter or that unions belong in politics.
School funding is political. Class size is political… But union power is supposed to come from the members.”

Dig a little deeper, and the backroom dealing between Lombardo and CCEA is even worse than it looks. Lombardo has been a key supporter of data centers, now a huge political liability. Enter CCEA, making big claims about school funding. Let take a look at what we know…

Joe Lombardo calls lobbyists his friends. It shows.
Stadium subsidies. Hollywood handouts. Data center tax breaks.
For the rest of us? $2 more per student. Vetoes of school meals, paid family medical leave, and many others.
Joe's friends get favors. Nevadans get the veto pen.
I'm at the Commission on School Funding meeting as their work is under attack. Check these clips from CCEA's September presser and ads the PAC is currently running in the Governor's race...
And we’re not even sure where the $500 million figure comes from. The Governor’s executive order addresses future data center abatements and does not even guarantee that revenue. NSEA believes data centers should pay all the taxes...
but projected revenue from one industry cannot replace the comprehensive, sustainable funding plan Nevada's public schools need. We urge the Commission to reaffirm their revenue recommendations. #SeriouslyPassThePlan
