A few takeaways from last night's space.
1. You can't mix what you can't hear.
2. Gain staging is extremely important.
3. You don't need processing on every track.
4. The majority of the mix is done with simple EQ and Compression.
5. Learn how your tools work so you know what to reach for when you want to fix or enhance something.

I take 2 steps and i'm at my gear, daily, 24-7 for years. 20 or so websites are my tools. A.I.? Taking things to a whole new level of creativity. Juts a few short months ago, if you would have tried to tell me what I would be creating I wouldn't have believed you. HOG HEAVEN!

Great way to look at it! We can also kill the volume on all frequencies between 20Hz and 20kHz and still be left with an extremely loud "silent" signal. 🔊🔇🎚️

When I did CGI many years ago, we started a thing called 1 hour renders. The aim was to promote familiarity with the tools to see how much you could achieve in 1hr.
I tried applying that to music today. I'm happy with how this is shaping up, may even turn it into a full track.
