Can a Philadelphia-based band that combines harsh noise with a mythos about a carrot farmer named Robert who existed almost 250 years ago become internet famous? The answer may surprise you.

Pollak witnessed the murder of Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi in Beita yesterday.
In this speech he mentions the first martyrs in the ongoing fight against the settlement on Jabal Subeih ("Evyatar").
"I want to propose a different model, of rejection of Israeliness, in its political sense, not of an Israeli left, but of an anti-Israeli left"
----------
I translated Jonathan Pollak's full speech, from Yesh Gvul's Leibowitz Awards ceremony, in June 2021. This is the speech that Pollak, who have already served two prison sentences in the past, was just indicted for. I think it's a must-hear for any Israeli (or none-Israeli) who considers himself an opposer of apartheid and a supporter of justice, equality and the Palestinian struggle for liberation.
----------
"In order to truly join the struggle to overthrow Israeli apartheid, the few Jewish settlers who are interested in it, will have to go against the essence of the colonialist regime."

I wish to personally express my sincerest gratitude to whomever it is on the Trump campaign who convinced Trump it was a good idea to have him appear before the @NABJ. Whoever you are, you are a true patriot, and your country is in your debt.

Alexei Sayle is the best Young One but also I really love the tradition of ornate handpainted British trade union banners.

Allow me to summarize this story about the rise and fall of Biden's floating pier for Gaza.
It delivered more headlines than food (which I believe was Biden's intent).

The staff at Pitchfork trying to explain to their new GQ boss why James Chance is somewhat important to the site’s ostensible ethos and that maybe mentioning his passing at some point might not be the worst thing even if it doesn’t result in a lot of traffic.
Love it when someone I am very much on the same page with politically shares some anti-Semitic conspiracy theory nonsense. Really makes me feel great!!

Long distance runner Majed Abu Marahel was the first Palestinian to compete at the Olympics in 1996.
He died in Gaza yesterday due to Israel's inhumane blockade on medication and its destruction of Gaza's healthcare system.
Israel killed him.

Slip lanes have no business on residential roads, near parks, or really any👏 where👏 @PennDOTNews @PhilaStreets @PhillyOTIS It's time to abolish this and many other slip lanes in our city!
This slip lane encourages cars to make high speed turns right thru a two way bike lane. It is designed to kill. Close the slip lane before someone gets killed. @PhilaStreets @PhillyOTIS
