And it should be that easy.
Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale.
He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt.
Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world.
At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.

SpaceX's CFO says new compute pays back in under a year. Ornn's data confirms it.
At on-demand rates and rolling utilization averages:
- B200 and B300 both payback in 10mo
- A Vera Rubin rack's current 1yr term rate pays back in 12-13 months.
For reference, a 1 GW B300 build will earn ~$38-39B in revenue per year purely at these on-demand rates, with additional earning opportunities from serving inference.
Great insights from @ttunguz.
Talent matters more than process. Execution is Everything.
ELON MUSK: SpaceX took the team that dominates space and βapplied that same team to the deployment of terrestrial compute.β
βThis is a bit like the New York Yankees playing in little league. Itβs not fair.β
SpaceX puts almost 90% of all mass into orbit. China is roughly 6%. The rest of the world combined, including the rest of the U.S., is about 4%.
Thatβs βan order of magnitude greaterβ than all its space competitors combined.
Now that team is deploying power, cooling, and infrastructure βvastly faster than anyone else, and may at some point be faster than everyone else combined.β
βLet that sink in for a minute.β

The new XPRIZE on Interspecies Communication, with a $10M purse will launch next month.
It will challenge teams to demonstrate ethical, verified two-way communication with wild animals, advancing coexistence and cooperation.
Dr. Irene Pepperberg spoke to us today about her pioneering work with grey parrots, training them in English to perform many tasks at 6-year old human skill level.
βClearly, animals know more than we think and think a great deal more than we know.β
It wasnβt easy when she started. The feedback to her first grant review: βwhat are you smoking?β
And now, her parrots ask questions and learn from the answers. They ask for what they want.
She has taught her parrots 100 English labels for objects and materials, exact quantities up to 8 (and addition and subtraction), colors, shapes, materials, concepts like same/different, absence, a zero-like concept (absence of a set, on his own, with no training), relative size comparisons, optical illusions, and they make new word combinations (calling the banana chip βbanackerβ for a banana cracker). They have a visual working memory (tracking moving cups) that beats adults with 4 swaps. They do inference by exclusion (when you show where food is not located, they figure out where it is).
Bird brains look very different at first, a smooth unfolded organ with no cerebral cortex, but further research found a relatively large cortical area similar to non-human primates in relative size and connectivity. They have a dense processor, doing same thing as human children.
βBird brain should be a complement,β she concluded.
We are here now. Idea_2_ Gallium arsenide (GaAs). Had the honor of working with Dr Ruchir Puri at @IBM - cogent and timely as well as history teaching article from @BrianRoemmele - great stuff. May the circle remain unbroken. We are just at the beginnings.

New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control.
In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale.
Here, we share how we built a new version control systemβand fully migrated our monorepo from gitβin five months: anthropic.com/engineering/reβ¦
We are just at the beginning of implementation of true nature inspired biomemetic AI software and hardware.
SpaceX has just released a new look at what their 1 million Starmind satellites constellation might look like (dots do not represent true size of sats).
SpaceX VP @michaelnicollsx said today: "We need to operate clusters of satellites in tight formation to get enough coherent compute to run AI models efficiently. A cluster will be 10-ish satellites connected with 10 terabits or so of bandwidth between them, and interconnected to the broader constellation."
Beautiful.
A retired NASA engineer who had worked on the Space Shuttle program for 25 years was hired by SpaceX at age 62. He described the first week as the most disorienting experience of his professional life.
At NASA, a design change required 3 meetings, 2 committees, a review board, and 6 to 18 months of documentation. At SpaceX, his new supervisor said "if it works, build it. If it doesn't, change it by Friday."
He sat at his desk after the first day and called his wife. He told her he felt like a man who had been swimming with ankle weights for 25 years and someone just cut them off. He could move. He could decide. He could build something in the morning and test it in the afternoon. The constraint that he had accepted as the nature of aerospace engineering turned out to be the nature of bureaucracy.
Within 6 months he had contributed to more design iterations than he had completed in his last 5 years at NASA. Not because he was working harder. Because the time between having an idea and testing the idea collapsed from months to hours. The same brain. The same knowledge. A different operating system.
He described a specific moment where he proposed a modification to a Raptor engine component. At NASA, the proposal would have entered a queue. At SpaceX, the modification was machined by the end of the day and tested by the following morning. He watched his idea become a physical object in 18 hours. At NASA, 18 hours would not have been enough to schedule the first meeting to discuss whether to schedule a meeting.
He told an interviewer: "I didn't get smarter when I went to SpaceX. I got faster. The intelligence was always there. The system was in the way."
The difference between SpaceX and NASA is not talent. NASA has extraordinary talent. The difference is the time between a thought and a test. SpaceX compresses it. NASA elongates it. The same engineer produces 10x more at SpaceX than at NASA because the bottleneck was never the engineer. It was the meetings about the meetings about the work.
This is beautiful. We are just at the beginning chapters.
After six years in stealth, Atomic Machines is out. Our mission: on-demand, universal command of matter. First beachhead: the Matter Compiler, an AI-native manufacturing system that builds working micro-machines from code alone. No per-product tooling. No process development. Different code, different machine.
Great quote for whatβs happening now.
βVulnerabilities can be removed. They can be designed away, they can be mitigated, and the primary resource we dedicate to mitigating them is a thing thatβs getting radically cheaper every couple months. And thatβs AI capabilities.β

I just told someone they already have the spectrum.
We announced an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio that will pave the way for @Starlink to become a major mobile carrier in the US.

Very important congrats to the team.
Very happy to announce that our team @GoogleDeepmind has pushed the boundaries of generative biology, achieving the successful synthesis of AI-designed proteins that are both functional and watermarked.
This proof-of-concept watermarking of the building blocks of life is enabled by SynthID Bio, our new protein watermarking method. It is designed to safeguard the new era of AI-powered generative biology and strengthen global biosecurity.

i have been sitting on a draft SnakeByte for a while about a paper that does what i wish more swarm literature would do. It stops waving its hands at βemergenceβ and writes the update rule down. This paper caught my eye on the Keywords: Swarm Intelligence, Reinforcement Learning, Evolutionary Game Theory,Evolutionary Biology. A population of agents following a simple, local, purely imitative weighted-voter rule is mathematically equivalent to a single abstract reinforcement learning agent that updates its policy they call Maynard-Cross Learning. The paper is titled The Hive Mind is a Single Reinforcement Learning Agent (Soma, Bouteiller, Hamann, Beltrame, arXiv:2410.17517). Honey bees. Nest sites. Waggle dances. Or is this where i say a banger of a paper will allow you to make $1B in a month with a Billion Agents?

THE MILITARY IS GOING QUANTUM.
THESE 7 COMPANIES ARE IN POSITION TO WIN.
Farseer is DIU's $200 million program to put quantum sensors into the military within months with magnetometers, gravity gradiometers, tactical clocks, and components. Proposals closed in July. Winners haven't been named. Here's who I think gets picked, and why.
$HON: A jet running Honeywell's quantum navigation system flew four hours over the Pacific with GPS switched off, reading Earth's magnetic field to stay on course, 89% more accurate than standard backups. It was a test for this same Pentagon office, grown out of Farseer's predecessor program, and a C-17 is next.
@qctrlHQ: Its quantum gravimeter just navigated a ship across the Coral Sea with no GPS and no stabilization. Gravity gradiometers are a named Farseer lane, and it has DIU and DARPA history.
$INFQ: Its Tiqker clocks are in Navy programs, its Rydberg RF receivers are with the Army, and it's building NASA's quantum gravity gradiometer, which covers three of Farseer's four lanes. On June 22nd, the day before Farseer launched, its CEO was in the Oval Office for the quantum executive orders, the only quantum sensing company in the room alongside IBM and Google.
$IONQ: through their Vector Atomic acquisition, their portable atomic clocks won under the last DIU program. IonQ owns it now, and tactical clocks are a Farseer lane.
$LMT: Launched its quantum center last week and was a previous DIU awardee. Most likely as the integrator putting sensors on platforms.
@SandboxAQ: AQNav has flown quantum magnetic navigation on Air Force aircraft. Not on the last DIU list, but the most operational magnetic navigation system out there.
AOSense: Atom-interferometry gravimeters and inertial sensors, decades of defense work, previous DIU awardee.
Time will tell soon enough who gets in, bookmark this!

LOCKHEED MARTIN JUST BUILT A QUANTUM CENTER TO WEAPONIZE THE TECHNOLOGY
Lockheed launched the Quantum Innovation Center, a single hub for quantum research, development, and prototypes across the company. The stated model is its AI Center, which they opened twenty years ago and now credits with putting AI into national security systems. Lockheed is telling you it thinks quantum is where AI was back then.
The company has been at this longer than most people know. It bought the first commercial quantum computer ever sold, a D-Wave system, in 2011, and has run quantum navigation, communications, and sensing programs for fifteen years. The new center pulls all of it together, plus the outside pieces. Lockheed Martin Ventures, just expanded to a $1 billion fund, with $100 million earmarked for UK and European quantum, and a Swiss hub with IBM at ETH Zurich anchored by Switzerland's first IBM quantum computer. Two internal programs, a talent pipeline and a fund for employee R&D projects, are there to grow the workforce, which is the part a prime only builds when it plans to ship something.
The priority list is the tell, sensing, navigation and timing, then computing. A defense contractor's quantum center leads with the sensors. That matches everything else this month, the Pentagon's Farseer program, the GPS-free Pacific flight, the DARPA helicopter program Lockheed is the platform partner for, and Lockheed's own venture stake in the quantum camera startup Diffraqtion and their partnerships with companies like @qctrlHQ and $IONQ.

$SPCX: Starship Flight 14 reached orbit this morning and deployed all 26 Starlink V3 satellites.
V3 is the satellite built for about 1 Tbps down and 160 Gbps up, with thousands of beams and a six-laser mesh.
They also fly the power, arrays, processing, and optical backhaul that Mobile Gen 2 will inherit.
The sats will now unfold, raise orbit, and join the mesh.
This was a massive derisking event for SpaceX's broadband and Direct to Cell ambitions.
