You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland).
You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission.

CCTV footage captured the moment Javits was running for his life shortly before he was fatally shot. His father, Thomas Frimpong, disclosed that the school’s principal had informed him three days earlier that two students had been bullying Javits and had been suspended for a week.

She said she was joking with this post, she doesn’t have access to a Glock or any other weapon, and she would never hurt anyone. Today she’s sitting in jail on charges of written threats to kill and unlawful use of a communications device. I would strongly advise anyone else thinking of posting a “joke” along these lines to think twice. Retail turned into a second job. Weekly vault, a rating to keep up, and the fear that skipping a week leaves you behind. You queue from a city, run the dungeon with four strangers, and they leave without a word.
WoW was a game you played because you liked being there, whenever you had a free evening. A stranger helped you with an elite quest in Stranglethorn, and a week later you were in his guild. You spent Friday nights together wiping in Molten Core with 39 people you had never met, and some of them became real friends, the kind you later met in person. Whole servers spent months hauling copper bars and bandages to Ironforge and Orgrimmar so the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj would open. Guilds stormed Orgrimmar to kill Thrall and Stormwind to kill Bolvar, and half the server dropped what they were doing to defend their city.
It was more than just a game.
It was an entire world, populated with real people playing in it.
That's the game I want back on November 4.
