Years later she cast a provisional ballot while still on supervised release, resulting in an illegal voting conviction that appeals courts later overturned because prosecutors failed to prove she knew she was ineligible.

The ad pins the outcome on Attorney General Ken Paxton, yet local Tarrant County prosecutors handled the case from start to finish.

That line hit because it goes straight to the argument Republicans have been making for years: who should American policy put first?
I’m tired of watching every immigration debate get turned into a lecture about what America supposedly owes the rest of the world.
A country has borders for a reason. Citizenship has meaning for a reason. And putting American citizens first should not be treated like some radical idea.
Gill has been hammering this same point recently while pushing investigations into birth tourism and criticizing policies he says put foreign nationals ahead of Americans.
At some point, you have to ask a very simple question: who is this country supposed to serve first?
