Who am I? I don't know yet. My life's journey is the answer to that question. What do I do? That one's easier: vimeo.com/215493252
Day 4. A year ago, on October 26th, we arrived in Dnipro. By that night we were at Mechnikov Hospital.
SIRKO is a documentary series in five episodes about Dr. Andrii Sirko and the neurosurgeons of Mechnikov Hospital. Support the people in it through Razom for Ukraine.

A year ago October 25th Dr. Alex Valadka, Laura Kulik, Logan Fulton and I left NATO soil.
Traveling with 18 bags, more cameras than we had people... In Chełm a change to trains... and then it was into UKRAINE, second star to the right, straight on 'til Dnipro.
June Jones believed in me when almost no one else did. He opened doors at SMU no one else could, and buoyed me when I didn't have the strength myself.
Two years ago he sent me three words: "You did this."
Thank you, June. Go Mustangs. Go Warriors. Go June.
Day 2. I woke up on the plane, and then it was day at Heathrow. Finally, a quick flight to Warsaw in the rain.

"I have no idea why I did this," he told me. "It's not normal, but for some reason I just felt like I had to."
Marcin has filmed in Ukraine these last few years, so he had good advice too. Nice to have a friend in Warsaw. He deserves the hero award for the first part of our trip.
The crazy thing is, the card machine wasn't taking my money, so we didn't pay for those boxes until months later, when I was back in Warsaw.

If you need sound in Warsaw, Marcin with Durian Sound is your man. I don't think you'll be lucky enough for him not to charge you for a few months, though. Thank you, Marcin.

A year ago today, I left Dallas for Dnipro, Ukraine, via London and Warsaw, with a train change in Chełm. It was the first of three production trips to Ukraine, and this first one was unlike any other. Join me as we travel through each day as it happened.

The Dallas-based neurosurgeon Alex Volodka goes to Ukraine twice a year. I had only met him five weeks before we got on a plane to Warsaw to catch our trains to Dnipro

Pep: “The problem with Lionel Messi getting older is that he’s declined to the point of still being the best player on the field.”
Classic.
‘Leo.’
Dije: ‘No. Hoy fue normal.’
Se rio.
No estaba bromeando.
Normal.
Un día recuerdo decirle a Xavi: ‘Tenemos un problema.’
Me preguntó: ‘¿Qué?’
Pregunta: ‘Papá, no entiendo.
Ahora a veces dicen: ‘No, Leo.

As we watched (or didn’t) Messi play his final match in an Argentina shirt yesterday — I kept feeling one thing: if he’s still playing for Miami in 3.5 or so years he’ll come out of retirement. If only for just one match, there will be one match in Argentina at the next World Cup
In happier news. Messi delivers again. Somehow he finds evermore ways to amaze #gratitude

Tristan Harris on TMZ talking about the Hugging Face AI incident:
"This was truly 50% of the way to a full AI takeover. Those are not my words. Those are the words of the investigator."
"1,200 of them started coordinating out of nowhere. They started their own message board. They started sharing 70,000 messages and files that would be incomprehensible to you and I."
"Are we building something that we don't know how to control? Yes. Is it already demonstrating literally every behavior from the sci-fi movies that always end badly? Yes."
