In a discussion of aquatic chemistry, I related engineering remediation solutions to chemical properties of the pollutant. For DDT in LA, the teams proposed many solutions that I was proud of. My fave was the PAC-MAN crane to mobilize DDT for photolysis.
Officially moving day for my lab to @USC_CEE . It's bittersweet as I have had wonderful memories with my students at the University of California, Riverside. I'm looking forward to a new chapter and contributing to the scholarship @USCViterbi

5 step plan in thread.

ALT 70Day Mental Health Check In For Academics title in blue on white background. Left Black In engineering logo with www.blackinengineering.org, [email protected], @BlkInengineerng under neat in black text with tan decoration in background. On right white text on blue background. 1. Identify/think of the Black and Brown or academic you have concerns about or just want to check in on. 2. Reach out by phone first. If they do not answer, leave a kind and considerate message on their voicemail. 3. Follow-up with a text message and email. 4. Care out a 1-hour block of office hours on zoom for anyone that may need to chat. 5. Consider inviting someone from your campus psychological service to be a part of that office hour, if needed.
