At the @frontutah conference a few weeks ago, Rob and I shared the story of how we came up with the idea of the @theflagmachine to troll the Utah flag initiative and how we think it may have influenced the new Utah flag.

Spoiler alert: Utah's new design is 💯
A changed flag can actually do the opposite of "erase history." It's an opportunity to revisit and emphasize themes and symbology important to the people, region and history.
Like the update in Utah, the state seal wouldn't have to go away, it just wouldn't be on the flag too.
Left wants to erase Minnesota history by changing the flag. Let them know it should remain. sctimes.com/story/opinion/20…
Feeling like a Michigan themed Flag Machine needs to be in the works.
Michigan is a unique and special state. We deserve a flag that is unique and special. It’s time for a well-designed flag with strong symbolism to foster a common sense of pride and purpose. No more seal-on-bedsheet flags. What’s your design? #changemiflag

Oh, and for all the Utah folks who may not think the beehive is their cup of tea, why not go with a customized version to show your state pride?
Growing up near Dinosaur National Monument, I have an endearment to the Allosaurus fossil version.

We think the @KeystoneFlag is pretty great, so why not also give it a little FlagMachine love?
Have fun Pennsylvanians!

Utah's state flag effort is well underway, but having fun with Utah flags is just getting started.
We made a thing for #Utah_Football and #BYU_Football fans.

Ogden is running a flag design contest. Got to get @theflagmachine working to support that one too.
Ogden is a great city.

"They have amazing ideas" --> The other day I sat in on a Utah flag design presentation to students at West High.
Here's why the state is turning to its future generation as it wraps up its design/idea submission process this week #utpol

There are just 10 days left to submit your idea for Utah's new flag. Get out the crayons, play with Flag Machine, whatever your method, don't let your voice go unheard.

Members of the Utah State Flag Task Force say they are thrilled with the thousands of designs they've seen so far. And it's possible a new design will be adopted this year.

A few new Utah flag creations that caught our eye, starting with this simple white flag with a black beehive.
