What a moment for the IBD community! 💜 Auburn University kicker Alex McPherson hit a 34-yard game-winning field goal as time expired to beat Georgia, the top-ranked team in the country, 27-24 last Saturday. Two years ago, ulcerative colitis kept him off the field for nearly the entire season. Alex has shared his journey living with IBD and an ostomy, and now he’s showing everyone what’s possible. Congratulations, Alex! You’re an inspiration to everyone living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. 🏈 bit.ly/4ibPYJc

[1/7] The word “probiotic” covers four completely different levels of evidence. That is exactly where the confusion is born. The honest scorecard, as the clinical trials give it xitter.cf/h_sokol/status/2094652…

1/When we diagnose IBD, we don't know which therapy will work for that patient. Could the biopsies we already take give us clues?
Presenting a valuable intestinal cell atlas: doi.org/10.1172/JCI202488 @MikeKattahMD, @alexis_combes & team @UCSFMedicine applied spatial gene mapping to archived colitis biopsies, identifying immune cell neighborhoods that explain why some patients are resistant to vedolizumab and others respond well. @MayoClinic #Colitis #IBD
